MSM >> gone the way of the dinosaur; make that OM.

I love it that Rush is using that term.

GREAT REPORT! Falluja is indeed a significant VICTORY for out troops.

But...

(Sorry if I seem to be harping on this) Not one question was asked about the mini-prisons under some houses in Falluja or the bodies or the emaciated hostages rescued from some of them. The things had cells with bars and cell doors and some had execution chambers...does the mass media think it's NORMAL to have a prison in your basement, complete with Iraqi prisoners, both alive and dead?

I didn't realize basements containing prisons and execution chambers were the norm....my family will have to upgrade and quit being so behind modern times.

Some of them have explosive vests that they're fighting with that will, as our soldiers go into the buildings or wherever they are, we expect that they'll blow themselves up to cause further casualties.

I hope they're keeping the imbedded camera crews away when encountering these fanatics. A head tap is a "required" form of safety in cases like these, and the MSM and Liberals don't think it's either legal or necessary.

Explosive vests? Here's what happens when an explosive vest goes up against a Bradley - jihadist spray paint.

Great report, clearly even thought I did not want to second guess the decision at the time, it should have been cleared out six months ago.

No further mention yet of nerve gas which we heard earlier. Not even a mention of nerve gas test kits which may (or may not) have contained test samples of sarin.

When we hear news reports of WMD or WMD equipment at some location in Iraq, I'd like to hear exactly what was or was not found there.

Well, perhaps this has nothing to do with the report of these Marines, no doubt fine soldiers. Perhaps we'll hear more later from other units.

At one point in my career, I had the pleasure of being General Smith's intelligence briefer; he's an outstanding leader and true gentleman. I sincerely hope he gets his fourth star and a major command within the USAF or the joint community. Unfortunately, some members of Congress tried to tar and feather him over the Abu Ghirab scandal, and General Abazaid did him no favors by sending General Smith to Capitol Hill as the senior CENTCOM witness.

"...that over the past 10 days a single unit had found 91 weapons caches and 431 improvised explosive devices in one sector of Fallujah.

Hmm, sounds to me like our C.I.C. Dubya not only has a "plan" to "win the peace", but that it is working quite nicely, thank you.

I was just thinking the same thing. The article isn't tainted with pessimism.

Some of them have explosive vests that they're fighting with that will, as our soldiers go into the buildings or wherever they are, we expect that they'll blow themselves up to cause further casualties. So we are slowly working ourselves through those limited areas where we still are."

Well then lets just level all the buildings using conventional ordinance. If its a question of $$ I'm sure there are several here who'd be willing to buy a shell or two, autographed with their name, to be delivered with love.
