I remember hearing the most terrible things about Rush Limbaugh. Then I moved to North Carolina where he was carried on early morning TV. I watched just to see how crazy the guy actually was and found him charming, funny, energetic...and right! I love the man. Many thanks, Rush Limbaugh.
My niece's husband turned me onto Rush about '95.
Rush was truly loaned to us by God. Otherwise, we might be in the same boat as the Dutch.

Exactly! I had never heard a thing about him or knew anything specific about him, but for some reason had a bad opinion of him. This is the media trying to brain wash us.
Up here in Canada Rush is regarded as the devil incarnate.
I first heard about him around 1993 in a local newspaper
(just after the incident in which Clinton denounced him).
He was described as being some kind of kook
to the right of Attila the Hun.
My interest was piqued.
I managed to pick him up on my shortwave radio from New Orleans.
(No internet streaming then).
I was amazed how different he was from what I had read.
Sensible, intelligent, probably the best analyst of American politics.
