A FIERCE storm blowing in from Texas rained mercilessly on Bill Clintons parade yesterday. The crowning moment of the former Presidents efforts to shape his legacy was all but washed away as 25,000 people huddled and shivered in the driving rain that accompanied the dedication of his $165 million (£90 million) presidential library.
Mr Clinton looked crestfallen as the Presidents Bush, senior and junior, President Carter, a large train of diplomats and politicians from around the world and a crowd larger than most Arkansas towns were soaked.
When Bono and The Edge from U2 opened their brief headlining set with the line, When the rain comes, you might as well be dead, Mr Clinton looked as if he agreed. Neither did it help that his wife appeared unwilling to share her umbrella with him. It took the elder President Bush, the man Mr Clinton defeated in 1992, to lift the spirits with a series of warm-hearted memories about one of the most gifted politicians he said he had come across. Trust me, I learnt the hard way, he joked.

Rain on clintbilly's parade was an example of both.
Hey buttmunch, go pack fudge with your "partner" to relieve your anxiety.
You can make your claims a hundred times; but it won't make them true.
You can shout your lies loudly, but they will still be silly lies. ;)
I believe God controls the weather. Bush's Texas had a storm that was driven straight to clinton's Arkansas, the exact spot where bubba's dedicating his Hall of Lies that he built on land "acquired" by clintonesque thuggery, at just the right moment.
Makes sense to me.
Another fine example of the mentally deranged. Yah, you. Go get therapy or something, HAHAHAH.
Maybe that's why he had the double-wide put up on stilts.
My stomach is to weak to be a politician. You got to fight nausea while saying all that stuff. Our president need to be there so the event didn't turn out to be a Democratic field day,
I can't help but laugh. The Libs have always said Clinton could defeat G.W. I contend the Texan storm drenching Clinton was a sign. ROFL!
Well, if it came from Texas then CLEARLY it is George Bush's fault.
On November 24, 2001 former DEMOCRATIC congressional aide Chris Matthews told former DEMOCRATIC congressional aide Tim Russert (AND his nationwide TV audience) on MSNBC that former DEMOCRATIC pollster Pat Caddell had said, "The Clintons -- they're 'white trash,' and I can say that because I'm from Florida."

"The forcast was for sunny skies. But the rapist brings a dark cloud with him. I think there was a character on the Flintstones or the racing cartoon with Penelope Pitstop that always had a rain cloud above him."
Joe Brfsplk - Li'l Abner always brought bad luck.
Well, when you won't share a bed/home with your spouse...
"God has a sense of humor"
and, GOD bless Texas.
Neither did it help that his wife appeared unwilling to share her umbrella with him.
Gee, her husband has heart surgery and she wouldn't hold an umbrella for him in the pouring rain?
Now that's a biotch!
She must be hoping for pneumonia.
Billy sure looks bad, heck Jimma Carter looks as good and
he's what 90?
Thank you LORD for the rain; you always know our needs.
And the farmers thank you too.
They may be referring to this picture.
now, now---guilty feelings are not permitted on FR---(just a joke, son)
Picture tells a thousands words. Cheating Bill left out in the rain. Even his daughter would rather share her umbrella with another man. A real man, at that. One who doesn't cheat on his wife and one who does not engage in sexual activity in the White House with young tarts.
Whenever I think of Bill Clinton in the White House, I picture empty pizza boxes scattered around with Monica under Bill's desk pulling his pants down while cruise missiles sail into empty tents in Afghanistan and Sudan. Then I think about the Twin Towers falling down in New York City a few years later on account of Bill's incompetence and dereliction of duty and I get angry.
BTW, Where was Al Gore with his two umbrellas?
Unlike his democratic contender, he didn't need to beat up the secret service agent over his. Happens to all of us.
