Posts on conservative website advocate violence against journalist The discussion board at FreeRepublic.com, a prominent right-wing online forum, contains numerous posts from members advocating violence against NBC News correspondent Kevin Sites, who recorded and reported the close-range shooting by a U.S. Marine of an unarmed and wounded Iraqi insurgent.
Comments about Sites on Free Republic include:
"Turn Sites over to the terrorist." "Fragamundo." "No need for anything overt. Unfortunate things happen in combat zones, and if the reporter fails to hear someone yell 'Sniper!!', well, c'est la guerre" [French for "that is war"]. [In response to a post suggesting Sites's "life is in danger being around the Marines"]: "I would certainly hope so." "I hope the Marines advance and leave Sites behind...alone in Fallujah with his terrorist buddies." "I don't want the punk killed, I'd just like to see his hair mussed. Jaws wired shut for a few months, food through a straw, that kind of thing." "It's Kevin Sites who deserves to be held in contempt and who deserves the losing end of a bar fight." "I don't give a flying you-know-what about his safety." J.F.

That's why we have to be so careful -- the liberal vultures are scanning every posted word and see how they can take it out of context to hurt and even shut down conservative forums, and I am sure FR is right on top of their list.
Oh you naughty Freepers!
DU'rs wouldn't advocate violence against somebody they disagreed, would they?? (sarcasm off)
Maybe they should check DU, where they advocate violence towards the President and call the Iraqi insurgents "Freedom Fighters".
Even the "worst" things he picked out show how much self control FReepers have.
Glad to hear that the 'rats are getting the message.
A new message for imbedded MSM 'rats: TV camera lenses look just like the working end of an enemy sniper scope in the heat of battle, when soldiers must make split second decisions.
Somebody call a waaaaaaaahhhhhmbulance.
It is racist cause it won't denounce the racist editorial cartoons, that have been denouncing Dr. Ric and Justice Thomas.
MAYBE the should STFU, until they examine what little slime balls they really are.
and that was me restraining myself.
Sorry,I started that post referred to by JF.I went to their link, I think it's pretty obvious this is a left leaning website, targetting all conservative media personalities. It has something about Hannity comparing Kerry's medal and the Marine incident.
I don't see how a forum can be shut down, on the basis of what he quotes, however I can see how some of the posters were agitators.
I am sure that the globalist blue-county elite that read Media Splatters are offended that Brock thought he actually had to translate French for them. To think that they could actually learn something from a Freeper!!
Okay, perhaps it would be best if we didn't say some of the things we do. Let's give the opposition some wiggle room here. Then let's get real and contemplate this.
For all the half-cocked comments from F.R., nothing will happen to the reporter. However, the sad truth is, the soldier does stand to have something bad happen to him.
The MSM has leveled barage after barage at this member of the armed services. What the hell outcome to they expect? I haven't watched the coverage, but I'd bet the farm that the media has coughed up the maximum sentence this soldier might be facing many times by now.
By doing this, the MSM has not only expressed their negative opinions much the same way Freepers have, but they are actually trying to stack the deck against our Marine as best they can.
Our Freeprs wouldn't seriously attack the reporter. The MSM is however seriously attacking the Marine. If they can they'll get him 20 years.
Tell me who is worse, Freeprs or the MSM.
F the MSM.
A Look Inside Media Matters for America
The people running Media Matters for America, the new liberal media watchdog in Washington, D.C., come from a hodge-podge of liberal interest groups. Its president and chief executive, David Brock, a former conservative journalist, is best known for writing “Blinded by the Right: The Conscience of an Ex-Conservative.”
But behind the scenes, Media Matters employees have worked for groups like the National Organization for Women, Greenpeace and the Democrat presidential campaigns of Sen. John Edwards and retired Gen. Wesley Clark. The organization’s editorial director, Marcia Kuntz, formerly ran the Judicial Selection Project at the Alliance for Justice, which was influential in blocking President Bush’s nominees. And leading Media Matters’ communication department is Naomi Seligman, the former communications director for the anti-gun Violence Policy Center.
Jeebus, liberals disgust me. FREEDOM OF SPEECH... but only if you agree with us. FREEDOM OF THE PRESS... but not if you're gonna bad-mouth us. FREEDOM OF RELIGION... just not YOUR backwards religion.
You should see some of the things they post at D.U. that gets related here.
