He's not still reeling from Kerry's loss, he just fainted 'cause he thought he saw R. Lee Ermey sneaking up on him! Heh, heh.

Ol' Vinny has all the calm stability of Crispin Glover. Sometimes I watch that show, knowing it's not a live performance, yet half expecting to see the guy LOSE it. I mean just go crazy... nuts... insane... bonzo... no longer in possessions of his faculties...three fries short of happy meal...WHACKO!! I know, it's a guilty indulgence. :-)

Perhaps we should all chip in a few nickles and get Vincent one of those "Extra Salty" R. Lee Ermey talking ation figures. That should shove him right over the edge.

The show would tank without him. No one watches it for Eames after all.

Back while Eames was off, I watched it for both Goren and Eye Candy. :-) Now I'm back to just watching Goren act...unusual.

I know. It's amazing that the producers have basically allowed D'Onoforio to think he is God.

That's too bad. I liked this show and the character he played.

You liked the arrogant jerk character he played on CI? His character was the *only* reason I don't watch the show. And when I say "only" I mean that's it, because I love all the Law & Order's. I really tried to watch CI on a number of occasions, but I couldn't get past the arrogance of his character. Sounds like he's probably like that in real life.

He said this would be his last year at L&O:CI.

Good, don't let the door hit ya on the way out Vinnie!

I so agree with your analysis of CI. I couldn't stand watching the guy on this show. (shivvvvvvver)

I can't believe the Law & Order guy is the same guy that played Edgar [in MIB]. Would have never guessed it.

A bit more trivia for you: He also played the villan in Jennifer Lopez's last real hit "The Cell".

His character was the *only* reason I don't watch the show.

The few times I've watched it, I've always been surprised that the murderer didn't turn out to be HIM!

Holy Crap! The idiot actor on law and order was the same one who played private Pyle? What the hell happened to him? He was GOOD in Full Metal Jacket! But he is one of the worst scene-chewing actors I have ever seen now. I watch that show just to laugh at the bad acting. I had no idea that was the same guy.

LOL I've thought the same thing myself. Maybe they'll do that for his last episode! Dare to dream!

I used to like that show, but the writing has really tanked in the last couple of seasons. Everybody winds up standing around for the last 15 minutes while WonderBoy tells them how clever he is. It's just bad television.

original story, if anyone is looking for it:

http://www.nypost.com/seven/11112004/gossip/pagesix.htm

November 11, 2004 -- VINCENT D'Onofrio, the star of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," passed out while shooting the hit TV series yesterday morning — prompting insiders to gossip that the actor is "losing it."

"Ever since John Kerry lost the election, [D'Onofrio] has lost his [bleep,]" said our on-set insider.

"He has been getting into fistfights with people, and when he passed out today, we all thought he was faking it. But then he insisted they call 911."

An ambulance raced to the Queens studio, where paramedics found nothing wrong with the gifted actor, who became a star in 1987 with his searing performance as a misfit Marine in "Full Metal Jacket."

Tensions on the "Criminal Intent" set are running high. "No one thinks Vincent will last for much longer," the insider said.

"He is so hard to work with — a total freak. He constantly complains about the scripts and has held up production a lot."

D'Onofrio, a big Kerry supporter, was said to be devastated over President Bush's re-election. "When PAGE SIX [last week] wrote about 'Law & Order' putting up signs forbidding political discussions on set, it was funny," our source said. "Those signs were put up because of [D'Onofrio]."

About a month before the election, D'Onofrio "insisted" on putting up anti-Bush posters and fliers, "and would attack anyone who disagreed with him," the spy added.
