Media Bistro ^

> "Here at FNC there are rumors about a big name leaving us," an e-mailer said yesterday. "No name was given." Is that person serious?...

I believe that there are different segments to any hour long newscast. As the Producer and writer arranges the program and decides what stories are to be put in what slots, things are shifted around because of both the pacing of the stories and the time restrictions. These segments, for the sake of planning and 'story-boarding' the broadcast, are labeled: A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H....

THAT particular segment is 'G', or the 7th segment.

Don't quote me on this.

O'Reilly last night during his interview with Pat Buchanon said to him, "Why don't you think about a job over here at FOX (versus MSNBC)".........or something to that effect.

I thought it was a little strange at the time.

Laura Ingraham replacing Greta now that the Scott Peterson case is over..

The Scott Peterson case will never be over. . . . There's still the sentencing and they're talking about grounds for appeal (and how do I know this much when I've made no effort to follow it?)

The Scott Peterson case will never be over.

LOL. My thoughts exactly when I tuned into Greta's show (very, very briefly) last night. I can't believe Fox really thinks most of its viewers want to see the Peterson case discussed night after night. I hear the word "Peterson" and I click the remote.

Thanks for the explanation of "The G Block". For a while I imagined it had something to do with the "G spot", but FOX News wouldn't do THAT, would they? ;~)

Anyway, my vote for FOX News people to get rid of would be Bridget Quinn - she just ruins the later morning show because she is too nervous, naive, and has such an unprofessional GEE WHIZ approach to everything.

I'd also like very much to see O'Reilly (I agree with those who railed at comparing the patriotic Swift Boat Vets to the Micheal Moore group!), and Greta leave FOX News.

It has something to do with the alphabet and how they break up the show.
A
B
C -- etc.

I was at the MSNBC both at "democracy plaza" during the election and I watched Scarborough leave Matthews' talkshow during a break. He literally could not walk down the stairs without 2 guys holding his arms. It took him about 2 minutes to negotiate 6 steps and he walked with a cane. What happened to him?

Just a 2 hour version of Hannity & forget Colmes would be great.

Two hours of hawking books full of dead-obvious platitudes and RNC talking points.

Yeah, we're talkin' Emmy here.

I'm hoping it's the pompous Bill O'Reilly.

I can't stand the overbearing Dweeb.

Your post 96: "Shepard Smith leaving to host the new California Police Chase Channel."

LOL. I really can't stand to hear Shep's voice. It's soooo..., well, gay. Some spectacular chase scenes, tho. Remember when Big Mamma copped her son on her front lawn after the cops gave chase to their home? Wish I had a link to the original posting here at FR. I was laughing so hard I was crying. Priceless.

He hurt his back...not sure how. That is why he has not been broadcasting his show from the studio, but he has been at his house.

I'm also thinking it could be Susan Estrich after her strange performance during the elections. Brit Hume seemed to make a big point of saying that he did not think she is a know-it-all when he was making a rebuttal to her, but he shouldn't have to be in a position to justify his retorts to her.

However, is she an employee of FOX or just a contributor?

I haven't noticed her after the elections, was she even back on air after that?
