MEMORANDUM
TO: the young Marine in Falluja who is taking heat from so-called "Human Rights" supporters
FROM: the FReepers
Every day, we are grateful to you and your comrades in arms for what you are doing for our country, and every day we pray for your safe return.
We know what is going on in Falluja. Animals are murdering human rights workers, beheading innocent civilians, and killing their own people. We know how these animals fight without wearing uniforms and how they booby trap bodies.
We don't yet know your name, but we know you had just been shot and have lost friends. We know the adversity and hell you have been facing every day over there.
You can take the following to the bank. We at FreeRepublic will never allow any of our servicemen to be persecuted by the politically correct who don't appreciate what you do. If necessary, we will take to the streets and raise hell in your defense. If we have to show up by the thousands to defend you, we will do it.
God bless you, Marine. Semper Fi.
Dear Marine,
Your devotion to our country is greatly appreciated. Do not let those who want to see America fail in all of her endeavors get you down.
We understand that war is a fast and furious activity, fraught with peril. One slight hesitation or misstep could be your last. Do not allow your guard to be lessened by the caterwauling from the peacenik appeasers. You will never be able to satisfy them and you could end up injured or dead trying.
Just keep doing your job and we will welcome you home to a hero's welcome real soon.
Sincerely, RobFromGa
ping for this fine Marine.
Don't let the bastards get you down
You've been there for us, now we will be there for you
I support our Heros and pray for them daily. God bless you all.
I'm in.
Atta boy, Phil.
Sure hope the other quislings are paying attention.
...their lives may depend on it.
THIS HERO probably SAVED the lives of NUMEROUS soldiers and PHOTOGRAPHER, TOO!!!!! We're behind you!!!!!
One less terrorist ... is that a problem?
Count me in. And I'll ping my list in case any are interested; I bet a lot are.
Thanks for saying it for me.
Whatever it takes.
"The fact of the matter is that war changes men's natures. The barbarities of war are seldom committed by abnormal men. The tragedy of war is that these horrors are committed by normal men in abnormal situations; situations in which the ebb and flow of everyday life have departed and have been replaced by a constant round of fear and anger, blood and death. Soldiers at war are not to be judged by civilian rules . . . Even though they commit acts which calmly viewed afterwards could only be seen as unchristian and brutal . . . [W]e can not hope to judge such matters unless we ourselves have been submitted to the same pressures, the same provocations, as these men, whose actions are on trial."

Freepers could collectively put together a list of sponsors to boycott. Someone said GE owns MSNBC, NBC, & CNBC. Perhaps we could make our displeasure felt during the coming Christmas season.
Whatever it takes soldier - You are there for us - we are here for you - This is a poem from a Vet -
The Sheepdogs
Most humans truly are like sheep
Wanting nothing more than peace to keep
To graze, grow fat and raise their young,
Sweet taste of clover on the tongue.
Their lives serene upon Lifes farm,
They sense no threat nor fear no harm.
On verdant meadows, they forage free
With naught to fear, with naught to flee.
They pay their sheepdogs little heed
For there is no threat; there is no need.
To the flock, sheepdogs are mysteries,
Roaming watchful round the peripheries.
These fang-toothed creatures bark, they roar
With the fetid reek of the carnivore,
Too like the wolf of legends told,
To be amongst our docile fold.
Who needs sheepdogs? What good are they?
They have no use, not in this day.
Lock them away, out of our sight
We have no need of their fierce might.
But sudden in their midst a beast
Has come to kill, has come to feast
The wolves attack; they give no warning
Upon that calm September morning
They slash and kill with frenzied glee
Their passive helpless enemy
Who had no clue the wolves were there
Far roaming from their Eastern lair.
Then from the carnage, from the rout,
Comes the cry, Turn the sheepdogs out!
Thus is our nature but too our plight
To keep our dogs on leashes tight
And live a life of illusive bliss
Hearing not the beast, his growl, his hiss.
Until he has us by the throat,
We pay no heed; we take no note.
Not until he strikes us at our core
Will we unleash the Dogs of War
Only having felt the wolf packs wrath
Do we loose the sheepdogs on its path.
And the wolves will learn what weve shown before;
We love our sheep, we Dogs of War.

Warning!!! AWOOGA! This is NOT a message about homosexuality.
It is about the Marine who shot a terrorist who looked like he was "playing dead" and now has the UN after him.
If any of you are interested in his situation, you can go to the thread. It's a thread of support for him (of course, we don't know all the facts, but we can give a good guess about it.)
Carry on Marine for this old Jarhead has your back covered and all the other brothers in harms way also. Semper FI
