I wish I had some pictures, but sadly we didn't have a camera. As I remember, her comments were short, I guess as you'd expect with that many great voices to be heard.
Here is the caption: "President George W. Bush and Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, accompanied by Vice President Dick Cheney and National Security Advisor Condoleeza Rice, speak to members of the media outside the President's Crawford, Texas, home Friday, Aug. 8, 2003. White House photo by David Bohrer."
However you did that.. thanks.. must be that great Michigan air?
understand.. SOme of my most vivid "memories" are not truly memories, when I get down to it.. the EVENT & the feeling & the intensity are the memories.. minutia? Not usually my strong point (understatement of this thread)
thanks

Sorry can't do as I'm having cardiac catherization and am very, very busy. However, you might be able to find it on the Reader's Digest website.
If I get a chance I will check later.. Busy next few days here also.
oh my.. good luck an prayers through this. I have had 3 catherizations.. and the first is a bit scary .. if you get the angioplasty at the same time it is reassuring that surgery might be not necessary. Thank you for sharing this..
I'm sure I'll be back. Thanks for the prayers.
and I am guessing the most gracious & gentle also...smart, pretty, physically & musically talented - wow
NEWLY appointed Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was shocked Saturday when her pals threw her a surprise 50th birthday party. Rice thought she was going to a low-key dinner, and was stunned when her driver pulled into the British Embassy. Katherine Manning, the ambassador's wife, had invited President and Laura Bush, Karl Rove, Karen Hughes, Colin Powell and Vernon Jordan. "And she was surprised," said guest Sheila Stainback of the New York Civil Liberties Union. Rice changed into a red dress Oscar de la Renta had sent over for the party.
Could I be on your "ping" list? Thanks for answering my question about her supposed "prochoice" status. :D
bump for later
wonderful tag line.. where are you in Texas? I sent 2 years in Houston. Loved San Antonia & Motagora (very small sleepy fishing beach)
Added. Think the next one will be on the Bush twins..
Very funny. Thanks, Dolly.
