Savage Blasts Rush Limbaugh Again (Vanity)
11/16/04

Posted on 11/16/2004 9:25:41 AM PST by NYC Republican

I made the mistake of listening to Savage again last night, and he AGAIN blasted Rush Limbaugh, calling his show really boring, calling him a fat loudmouth, "Mr. Gulfstream", saying no one wanted to hear Limbaugh talk about the election anymore...

He said a few more things, but the exact verbiage escapes me.

He also said numerous times that he will not discuss politics anymore, then quickly goes into it. He also took yet another series of swipes at President Bush and Arnold S.

He claims that Arnold has a big ego, is a disgrace, and has done NOTHING for California. He also says that his approval rating is disastrous, not nearly as high as the polls.

This guy, Michael Weiner, er Savage, is the disgrace. He's a bi-polar nut-job, who has the biggest ego this side of O'Reilly.

What a jackass.

One of my measures of brilliance is his ability to pave the way for others. To influence so many during the years. He did it when nearly no one else was doing it.

When a lib calls, rather than blast them and hang up, as Savage does, Rush articulates the issues like no one else.

I consider myself VERY politically savvy, yet I still learn something new from Rush almost every day... NO one else has that ability on me.

Laura Ingram is more of a GOP water carrier than Rush or Hannity.

Of course, many here think 'GOP' and 'conservative' are synonyms.

Did You hear him equate GWB going to the opening of the
Clinton Library to Ronald Reagan visiting Bittberg?

Savage has so few moments of lucidity, he should serious consider taking some lithium.

I'm amazed Savage has any following at all. He's a complete and utter narcissist, and a moron to boot.

The last time I saw him was on MSNBC. He was trying to be funny, joking about his last airplane flight, and sat between two maniquins acting like he was being squeezed in, etc. It was slightly amusing for about 3 seconds, but he kept it going for what seemed like hours. The only break from this monotony was to hear him pitch his book for the 10,000,000th time. Any remaining notion (already highly strained) that this guy had even a smidgeon of entertainment talent evaporated for me that day.

And hey, I'm against gay marriage and even against civil unions, but MSNBC -was- right to throw him off the air for his comments to that caller. I don't care if the caller was a freaking Nazi, you don't tell your callers that you "hope they die", no matter what the provocation. What an unprofessional self-obsessed twit.

We're talking about the same Rush Limbaugh who went through a couple months of people calling in saying they'd no longer listen to him because he was too hard on GW, right? He's the cheerleader?

Savage is a petulant child. His ravings are akin to a kid throwing a hissy in the middle of a grocery store. The fact he occasionally hits on a correct point does not excuse the fact he's certifiable.

"No one, I mean no one can remain perpetually angry all the time without blowing a gasket."

True. I think the point many are making, however, is that the gasket has indeed blown ;) Many times over.

"...he is correct about Limbaugh: he is boring."

I used to listen to Savage when he was only on the Bay Area station KSFO. He is such an interesting character - sometimes thoughtful, funny, sometimes truly over the top. When he syndicated he became more self-promoting, less thoughtful. Anymore his show just seems to be one long free association rant - and heaven help the listener who may be driving a vehicle if Savage goes off on food, you may fall asleep at the wheel.

He's been recently replaced on the OKC station I listen to with Bill Cunningham. Cunningham is a little irritating, boring though. Maybe I'll get used to him. But Bill - could you lay off vaccinations and alternative medicine stuff?????

Rush will stand up for Bush no matter what. Savage is a pure conservative. He jumps on Bush for the border, he jumps on Bush for not levelling with us when he needs to. He jumps on Bush for not calling fascism for what it is. He jumps on Bush for his minor flip-flops.

I like Doc Savage & all of them but agree that RUSH is pure republican. I want people talking about the border. I want to hear justification for GW to go to Bubba's Library Opening. I not convinced that Condi should head State, etc. I get that from a nonpartisan - True conservative such as Savage. The battle for this nation is either we become France or back to our pure capitalism & schmoozing with the enemy shows acceptance, which the libs do NOT do.

Rush is a card carrying, kool-aid drinking, non-thinking republatoid (repub-bla-toid, you heard it here first). He used to have a brain back in the late 80's, but he was asimilated. Savage is a complete nut job, but at least his disfunctional brain is still capable of indepentant thought.

Laura Ingram is my currect favrite talk host, she is sharp and she does her own thinking. I am certain the dark forces at the GOP collective are planning her asimlination. I hope she is wise enough NOT to spend the night at the white house. That was Rush's big mistake, one night at the white house was all it took, Rush had never the same.
