Once again, if you want George Soros to buy his way into the Presidency, just change the Constitution. Sure, a lot of people like Ahnold, but it's the other potential presidents that present a huge threat to our country.

Such an amendment would never happen.

Do you suppose the real mover-shaker behind this "movement" might be Arnold's wife, the Kennedy lady? Maybe she's already tired of living in the hokey town of Sacramento, and wants to move to D.C. ??? Just speculating.

I'm a fan of Arnold but this whole thing is ridiculous, and will hopefully die if that bigmouth Orin Hatch will stop his silly push for it.

Good lord, the people who would change the Constitution for such a stupid reason are idiots. There is barely enough people who would do it to save the institution of marriage.

Did anyone else see the title of this website? Especially anyone from Michigan?

"Amend for Arnold and Jen"

Then there's this phrase:
"If you want Arnold to become President or if you'd like to see Jennifer Granholm become President, JOIN US!"

If Jennifer Granholm ever becomes president, it will be a sad day for this country.

"Amend Constitution for Arnold"

Shouldn't that organization be called,

"Amend Constitution for Soros"

To amend the Constitution, a proposal must gain the support of two-thirds of the House and Senate, and three-fourths of the states. As a result, of the thousands of proposed amendments, only 27 have passed. Amendments must be proposed either by a two-thirds vote in Congress, or by a Constitutional Convention. Such a convention can only be held if two-thirds of the states' legislatures support it.

< flame troll > Would you support an amendment like that if it ALSO eliminated the conferring of citizenship on people who just happened to be born here because their pregnant unwed mother managed to swim the Rio Grande and hide out until the brat was born? < /flame troll >

In any case... every time I hear this idea brought up, I remember how we were taught in grade school (back when they used to teach anything in grade school) that the date of the fall of the Roman Empire was fixed by the ascension of a barbarian to the office of Caesar...

I like Arnold and I respect him. But, I wouldn't change our Constitution for one man today, and leave that door open for foreign liberals in the future

We need to amend the Constitution to forbid anybody born in Massachusetts from running for President

Tell you what... you let us know the instant Arnold says he would like to run for President. Until then this is just garbage and innuendo.

Lissa Morgenthaler-Jones was a volunteer and donor for both Arnold's Proposition 49 campaign and his 2003 gubernatorial campaign. She did everything from calling donors and throwing fund-raisers to carrying signs and cheering at rallies behind Arnold.

Lissa comes from a long line of citizens with an attitude: her grandmother ran for the Senate in 1946, her mother hijacked an Iowa caucus to vote for Eisenhower, and her father led the effort in 1975 to reduce the capital gains tax from 48% to 28%. (When Congress passed the reduction in 1978, it caused a huge increase in venture capital. This helped create Silicon Valley and the 17 million new jobs Ronald Reagan was so proud of during his administration.)

Lissa is a former #1 mutual fund manager, specializing in biotechnology, and has written for Barron's and TheStreet.com.
