Please pray for my friend's family, who is coping with their loss. He was the oldest son in the family, and an Eagle Scout. It's a big shock to me to hear this, but I can't even imagine what his family must be going through.
Prayers and condolences to you and the family, I am sorry for your loss. You can take heart that your friend was a noble warrior in the battle of good against evil.
Do you have his name?
May it bring his family some comfort knowing that so many are offering their prayers. God bless them. We will be praying.

You are so important right now - you have memories of this young man imprinted on your heart. Write them down, and send them to his mother in a little book; it will help her to remember what a beautiful gift from God was her son.
I lift you up to God, that you will be able to share something so special, the images of life lived well; I lift your friend up to God, where he now is cradled safely in the Arms of Love; I lift his family up to God, that they may see that his life was precious, and his death was not in vain.

I have been so distraught about this battle. God rest the souls of our brave defenders and comfort their family and friends.
He is now a member of the Almighty's legion. In time, his loved ones will go to join him.
May this great country always recognize his and his family's great sacrifice for the greater good.
