Please pray for my friend's family, who is coping with their loss. He was the oldest son in the family, and an Eagle Scout. It's a big shock to me to hear this, but I can't even imagine what his family must be going through.

This young Marine forever will be remembered, as the Gallant young Lance Corporal he was the last time you and his family saw him.
The price, sometimes the best ones pay with their everything, that others might be Free.

Lord in heaven, receive your child and servant Lance Cpl. Abraham Simpson who died so that others may live in peace. Give comfort to the family that they may know You and that the sorrow they feel will be eliminated when they see their loved once again in heaven.

All humanity is of one Author, and is one volume; when one dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated; God employs several translators; some pieces are translated by age, some by sickness, some by war, some by justice; but Gods hand is in every translation, and his hand shall bind up all our scattered leaves again for that library where every book shall lie open to one another.

Thanks for the ping, Pattie.
Krakath, you, your friend and his family are in my prayers. Please know that his country is indebted to him and his family for his sacrifice.
Father, please welcome Abraham Simpson into you loving embrace. Bless his soul and give him peace. Please, Father, comfort and bless his family and friends as they cope with this loss.
Also, please bless and protect our military as they fight to secure our freedoms. We ask this in Jesus Name. Amen.

"Soldier's Prayer"
Psalm 91
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in
the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."
Surely He will save you from the fowler's snare and from
the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings
you will find refuge;
His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence
that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may
fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not
come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes and see the
punishment of the wicked
If you make the Most High your dwelling - even
the Lord, who is my refuge
then no harm will befall you, no disaster
will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you to
guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands, so that you
will not strike your foot against a stone.
you will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will
trample the great lion and the serpent.
"Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be
with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life will I satisfy him and
show him my salvation."
Amen

Thanks for the ping, Maigrey.
May God give the family the strength to carry on.
The cause is just, and every life taken on the battlefield so far from home is precious.
Praise God for the valiant warriors who are meeting the vermin there so we won't have to meet them here.
