The streets of Rotterdam are silent apart from a whistling wind. Flickering neon signs advertising Halal butchers and falafel bars punctuate the grey facades of the tower blocks.
Splintered glass from a broken window that no one has bothered to repair is slowly trampled into the autumn leaves. In the distance, a mosque's minarets pierce the fog and drizzle.
Almost half the population of Rotterdam is of non-Dutch origin and the city is studded by grim ghettoes. Fifteen-year-old Rafih Bourdin has hunched his shoulders up against the cold. His head is wrapped in a red bandana and covered by a heavy, hooded top that almost entirely obscures his eyes.

He says: "I get verbal abuse in the streets now from white Dutch ladies and that would never have happened before. Islam is a peaceful religion, but now we Moroccan Muslims have to work much harder for acceptance."
Of course it never happened before, they realize it isn't about multiculturalism,it's survival.
Figures: it took the murder of a filmmaker to wake these people up.
I wonder what the libs would think if a fifth plane on 9/11 hit somewhere in Hollywood.

we've been lectured for years that if people can get drugs whenever they want and can go hire whores whenever they want legally, then everybody will be happy and peaceful and there will be no crime....

I was in Rotterdam 20 years ago.It was a ghetti then and full of Arabs.
Europe better wake up to their population and political problems. Declining native birth rates made immigration attractive by increasing tax receipts to cover huge government entitilment costs.
The US has to deal with baby boomers, the EU may well deal with baby bombers.
Politicitians and lawmakers encourage illegal immigration for decades..........sub-cultures are are formed within the country with separate languages etc. which disdain the majority culture.
The result?........People wake up one day and learn that half of LA speaks spanish and are illiterate.
And its too late to do anything.
This story should be sent to every one of of legislators. Maybe they'll get the big picture.
Great article. First, it points out what happens to a country when liberalism prevails. Second, Muslims are accomplishing what they could not do one thousand years ago. They are conquering Europe. Third, it raises the question as to whether the abandoning of Christianity in favor of secularism, socialism, and liberalism will not lead to the ultimate demise of a culture. Keep an eye on old Europe. We will see what happens when the "Progressives" run a culture. It will be like watching the implosion of communism in the former USSR.
It's not too late -- yet.

If by peaceful, they mean that they leave the christian, or jewish bodies in pieces, than yeah, islam is a pieceful religion.

And second, they talk about how Muslims shouldn't be judged by one event... The overwhelming majority of violence in the world today is generated my Muslims and it is hardly one event. It is daily and wide spread.
