They are both embarassing, but The Forward IMO take the top prize for presuming to speak "in the name of all American Jews" when nobody reads it except for a handful of elderly Communists and anti-Semites looking for dirt to throw at Jews.

It's not enough for her that she took everything that was good and holy and special to Catholics and Christians and turned it into, well, sleaze, but now she's going after Judaism as well. Hopefully Jewish faithful won't let her debase things holy to them the way she did (and was praised for it) with things Catholic/Christian.

Of course, occasionally, in response to claims of fanaticism, the Wahhabi types front women converts as example of how tolerant they are. There was a PBS special a few months ago about just such a woman, making the pilgrimage to Mecca for the first time, a caucasian American nurse convert in her 40's. That would take some of the enjoyment out of it, if it were turned into a promo for Wahhabism, taking advantage of her 'celebrity'.
