U.S. Troops Occupy All of Fallujah
Yahoo News ^ | November 13,2004 | JIM KRANE

U.S. military officials said Saturday that American troops had now "occupied" the entire city of Fallujah and there were no more major concentrations of insurgents still fighting. Artillery and airstrikes also ended after nightfall.

Iraqi officials declared the operation to free Fallujah of militants was "accomplished" but acknowledged the two most wanted figures in the city — Jordanian terror mastermind Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and Sheik Abdullah al-Janabi — had escaped the fighting.

But after nearly a week of intense urban combat, U.S. officers said resistance had not been entirely subdued and that it still could take several days of fighting to clear the final pockets.

The offensive against Fallujah claimed the lives of at least 24 American troops and an estimated 1,000 insurgents, and rebel attacks elsewhere — especially in the northern city of Mosul — have forced the Americans to shift troops away from Fallujah

Since a Neutron Bomb will not destroy any infrstructure....

1) Why isn't Fallajah evacuated right now, with all inhabitants registered through specific checkpoints?
2) Then upon completion, a Neutron Bomb dropped on Fallajah to kill anyone remaining or hiding in the city limits?

There has to be a way to stop these kingpins from disappearing into thin air all the time.

It seems that when we're too rough with these guys the MSM makes us suffer through a "highway of death" story.

What would be satisfying, but there is something better happening. Every time these cowardly cockroaches run and hide in a hole from the superior Christian forces, it tells their forces, no matter how they struggle to spin it, that they are inferior, cowardly cockroaches and that their moon god is NOT "greater". And, even better than that, we get to kill more of their mindless minions as we hunt for them again and again.

It is a beautiful thing.

Yeah, except we lost 22 soldiers in the battle of Fallajah.

If Fallajah remains neutral...okay. But if it festers again after the soldiers leave, then why did they die? To kill 1200 insurgents?

Not a good trade, IMO.

We have the technology. Use it.

I like the idea that we're rounding up some of these wild-eyed, idiot clerics who keep the pot boiling. Only four , so far, but it's a start.

I'm with you, there, my friend. But this war will last for generations, and, perhaps, millions of us will die. Last time Islam went on the march, it lasted for hundreds of years and decimated whole populations. The bloodthirsty death-cult does not give up easily. We have to get in the serious mindset of the long haul.

Human civilization had better get as serious about its survival as the seventh-century savages are about our annihilation!

But brute force sedates them.

Use crushing force like Saddam did on the Shiites...then they'll have a society like we Conservatives enjoy among our Liberal "friends"...a truce of sorts.

Islam has to be beaten down once again. Let's get on with it.

We are indebted to these men who gave their lives in this effort to make the world safer for us who live comfortable and secure, far from this conflict.

Most of these men were young, and had hopes and dreams of living a full life, with all that entails in terms of love and family, aspirations for fulfillment in vocations and careers, and the satisfaction taken in looking back on life and savoring the memories.

There will be visits from Officers to parents and wives in the hours ahead. Let's keep these families, and their brave young men, in our prayers.

I am always amazed anew at the sacrifice of these warriors for those of us who live securely because they are willing to pay the price.

Hopefully we won't have to, because of Fallujah. I think even pro-Saddam Iraqis don't want their town to be Fallujahed. We shall see.

...1,000 insurgents, and rebel attacks elsewhere...

Yahoo, Rueters, CNN, ABC, CBS, NYT, etc. incorrectly identify what and who the enemy is. They aren't "freedom fighters," or "rebels," or any other euphemism. They are terrorist, period.

Well, if you want to add the adjective, "islamofacists" that works for me.

If all things were just, this photo would win the Pulitzer prize for this year. Unfortunately, it's of a military man and he has a deadly cigarette in his mouth which disqualifies it for consideration. (Stupid liberals!)

With a big enough catapult, we could return them to Damascus and Tehran without leaving Iraq.
