I've never seen any evidence that young people become more conservative as they get older.

"Any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has no heart; and any man who is
over 30, and is not a conservative, has no brains." -- Winston Churchill ...

We have many "converts" on this site

I am much less mushy than when I was young....which was a LONG time ago..The older I got..the more conservative I became...Idealism in youth leads to many thinking all ills can be cured by the government or SHOULD be.

Actually not. Homosexual tourists were very disappoint to discover that Athens has no homosexual bars/clubs when the arrived for the Athens2004 games. They have been pretty much isolated to the tourist islands.

Also ESPECIALLY these days with a church practically on every corner, homosexuals are not particularly welcome.

BTW the phomnenon of homosexualizing history is a western university phenomenon. The Ancient Greeks considered homosexuality a choice and a deviance. However that has been glossed over by the ivory tower illiterati.

I have, particularly when they get married. ESPECIALLY men paying child support after divorce.

It also happens when they work hard at their new job and start to pay the confiscatory taxes for social security they will never collect.

Some people need a diagram to see the obvious.

I grew up when communism was was a big concern. I voted for Ike in my first vote..was too young the first time and would have voted for Stevenson...I made it to Republican before age 30...but my conservatism has grown..

Communism is still a big concern with me..I always check up on "activists" groups to see who else is supporting them internationally..now the Ialamofascists and communists are bedfellows...I distrust anything associated with "progressives"

He's absolutely right. The college kids didn't vote-- they didn't turn out anywhere, so it seems. It was the unionized college employees and the overabundant left-leaning faculty. And that's not even mentioning those who receive public assistance, and would therefore vote not to have their cash cow cut off.

I lived (read: survived) in Athens County for six years. Thankfully, I was rescued away.

That is very interesting, thank you for the information. My Mother-in-law is an English Professor and has always told me Greek Men routinely had young male lovers, in fact it was common place. Not being one to read ancient Greek Literature I just assumed she was telling me the truth.
