And we thank You Father, for once again showing mercy on this nation and allowing President Bush to lead us for four more years. We know that it is You who will be exalted among all nations, and in all the earth, and we know that it is our President's desire to live a life pleasing to You, and acknowledging Your sovereignty over us. We ask that You continue to speak to him in all areas of his life, and grant him the wisdom that he seeks from You. We ask that You guide him in every decision he must make, that he would hear Your still small voice among the many sounds around him.
Lord, we also ask for Your blessing in his life, and that of his family's, and that You would protect them from harm. Bless Laura, and help her to continue to be the kind of wife that is pleasing to You in all areas of their marriage. Be with Barbara and Jenna as well, that You would help them to find the path that You want them to take with their lives, and that they might mature in faith and in inner beauty by living lives that are pleasing to You.
We continue to pray a special protection over our armed forces that are now in battle in Fallujah and elsewhere around the globe. We pray that our Marines might have a swift and sure victory over an evil enemy who seeks to destroy all that is good and decent in this world. We pray that peace might come to the country of Iraq, and that the election in January might be peaceful and successful, but most of all Lord, we pray that the hearts of the Iraqi people might be open to the Gospel of the love of Your Son, Jesus, and might come to a saving knowledge of You. We pray for those who have been wounded in battle, and for the families of our soldiers who have fallen, that they might have a peace that passes human understanding.
And finally, Father, we continue to pray for our nation, that we might realize our need for Your laws and Your truths, and might seek Your kingdom and righteousness. We know that we are engaging in a spiritual battle for the soul of America, and we pray that You might prod us to continue to pray daily for this country and its leaders. We pray that the new Congress might be open to Your leading, especially in the area of the judiciary, and dear Lord, we ask that those judges who honor You first, and secondly the Constitution, might be elected without the obstruction of Democrats in the Senate.
We ask forgiveness for the many ways in which we have failed You, as a nation, and as Your people, and we bow in humility before You at this moment. We thank You that You hear and answer prayer, and we come to You through Your Son, Jesus, who died for our sins, and it is in His strong Name that we pray, Amen!

Thanks for sharing this prayer online. I am joining millions in praying for our President. I am so grateful that he got elected this time around as well, and know that he and the rest of the military and his admin will need our prayers.
Agreeing with you in prayer and asking especially for healing for those who have been wounded in battle and comfort for the families whose loved ones have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of freedom.

Lord God, We come before you to thank you that we who believe in your Beloved Son are also clothed in His righteousness before you. Without Jesus, we are utterly lost, utterly sinful, utterly depraved. Thank you Lord, that you have saved us, and thank you so much that one of your great gifts is to have the mind of Your Son as well, to be able to discern what is right, and to walk in Your way. I pray we can begin, as your children, to be the true Light and Salt in America, and that we can expose the evils of our modern culture and the destructive path we are on, and that we can lead people to You, to salvation in the Name of Jesus Christ, before it is too late, before our country falls as every other civilization has without you.
Lord, please protect your true church here in America and keep her pure. As well we ask that You would purge evil out of our government at all levels and stations.
Lord continue to keep and bless our dear President. Please also give our troops the victory in Iraq, with the ultimate result that the Iraqi people will hear and believe the gospel.

As You have revealed truth to many in our electorate, so we pray that it would continue and abound. We ask, Father, for the revelation of Your will and Your ways to overtake those who seek You. We ask that evil would be exposed and brought to the light of Your precious Word. We pray that our physical enemies in Fallujah would be exposed for our troops. We ask You for the specific location of all our enemies to be made known to our military. We ask for the President's Secret Service to see trouble before it comes. Lord, guide us by Your Holy Spirit to be successful at what we are setting our hand to that Your truth, Your wisdom, Your fullness might be seen--all for Your glory. In Jesus' name.
