Have to say I am torn on this one. Would hate for the same standard be applied to other religious symbolism.

The one good thing about the German constitution is that is truly federal.
The Lander can actually pass sensible local laws without having to ask leftist Berlin first.

Christian symbols represent a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and are just as Cherished and Sacred worn beneath a shirt as above the shirt. The Cross in my pocket reminds me of my Savior whom I have asked into my heart. Christians show their faith through hearts and hands.

The ban should be on muslims, not headgear.

Interesting irony: the word "veil" spelled a little differently spells "evil."

From what I understand about German politics, is that Bavaria is Germany's most Conservative state. Is this true?

Culture Minister Monika Hohlmeier argued that the headscarf was a symbol of the repression of womenI hope the brave Culture Minister has adequate security.
To: knighthawk
The headscarf is associated with rape (when not worn). IMO the entire west should ban these things in all government schools and offices. Would work wonders.
