Source: Peterson jury foreman wanted to be taken off panel
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (Court TV) The foreman dismissed from the jury deliberating murder charges against Scott Peterson Wednesday asked to be removed from the panel, a source close to the case told Court TV anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle Newsom.
"This juror wanted off the case," Guilfoyle Newsom reported Thursday.
The panelist, identified as Gregory Jackson, 46, quit the jury after his fellow jurors said they wanted another panelist to lead them, the source told Guilfoyle Newsom.
"He was removed as the foreperson and then decided he wanted off the case," Guilfoyle Newsom said.
Story continues ......
The courthouse was closed Thursday because of the Veteran's Day holiday and jurors remained in sequestration at their hotel. The panel is not permitted to discuss the case except in the jury room........
I'm not certain. It was explained on some older Hacking threads, but maybe Utah Girl can explain? (Pinging Utah Girl)

transcript of CNN account of the verdict.......
Everyones speculating about why Lee P wasn't there today. So here's my 2 cents:
The defense is gonna make Lee the scapegoat during the penalty phase. He's gonna get up there and admit that he put too much pressure on his son. Not go so far as to admit that Scott did it. But just paint a picture of Scott as a person whose parents expected too much of him.

Maybe Justin Falconer can take the stand in Snotts defense during the penalty phase...</sarcasm>
Thanks so much Spunky and to all of you for your good thoughts and well wishes. It's all VERY appreciated, more than you can imagine. Hugs all around for a very caring group of people. :-)
"I wonder when they started decorating the room. Scott probably had the idea of a watery grave at that time even."
Ewwwwwwww, creepy thought. I was wondering if that was Laci's way of trying to get Scott interested in Connor.
Has anyone heard anything about Lee yet? I've been offline and away from the TV for a few hours.
Mr Hollywood is Gloria Allreds pet name for Geragross.
LOL, I just asked about Lee, did he go all the way to San Diego? I figured they would stay local until the verdict just in case. If he went home why did Jackie get up and run out then? Questions, Questions...
I am slow getting through this thread. Just got to your posting of the Memorial to Laci. Beautiful. I just wish my darn computer worked better so the song wouldn't have kept breaking up.
Aphrodite is hip on inside info for her books and the $$$ she'll make, IMHO.
Sure is nice to see the cocky smirk wiped off his sorry face . Now we get to witness justice that was denied O.J.!
Guess there was not much reason for Jackie and clan to stick around and I read somewhere they had a white limo waiting to take them away. Wonder when they will be able to visit Scott?
Geragos, you coward! You knew something could happen today and didn't want to face the crowds, especially after last night.
A white limo??? With what money? Laci's? They are tooo much even up to today....it was wasted so far, all I saw of their car was the middle of a light car as they entered it.
Maybe Lee was hoping he'd miss the verdict....I bet Jackie chews him out good.
"I was wondering if that was Laci's way of trying to get Scott interested in Connor."
You mean because Scott was such and "avid" fisherman? lol
Oh yes, I bet she did...what a shock for her. I wonder how they got her back inside. She wasn't even with her bio children...all alone really. What a family, I bet she and Lee do through themselves on the knife for Scott and say they were horrible parents, etc etc.
No friends to testify for scott, even Westerfield had friends to testify as to his good character. Will Janey testify? I bet she will and Susan maybe.
