Source: Peterson jury foreman wanted to be taken off panel
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (Court TV) The foreman dismissed from the jury deliberating murder charges against Scott Peterson Wednesday asked to be removed from the panel, a source close to the case told Court TV anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle Newsom.
"This juror wanted off the case," Guilfoyle Newsom reported Thursday.
The panelist, identified as Gregory Jackson, 46, quit the jury after his fellow jurors said they wanted another panelist to lead them, the source told Guilfoyle Newsom.
"He was removed as the foreperson and then decided he wanted off the case," Guilfoyle Newsom said.
Story continues ......
The courthouse was closed Thursday because of the Veteran's Day holiday and jurors remained in sequestration at their hotel. The panel is not permitted to discuss the case except in the jury room........
Oh, good grief! I believe he would have, alright. They were right to bounce him off the jury.
;-)))
Fox also talked some about the possibility of appeal-how in the world will Peterson family find $ for that?
And how come some enterprising reporter has not found Geragos yet?
If I remember correctly, someone on the Peterson team also insinuated the baby wasn't his, that Laci had been playing around. Infuriating.
"VERDICT at 4:00 P.M.!"
Thanks for the ping. Praise God for the guilty verdict. Sounds like all the THs were wrong about Juror #6, Justin's pal. Of course, Justin will probably say this was a good day for the defense. ;-)
ping 2 me
Maybe #6 was only Juston's pal in Justin's mind?
CTV now trashing No-show MG. Gotta love it!!!
Justin, on being told how dramatic the scene when one went to where the bodies were recovered, said that if he had gone there with the jury and looked out to the island that Scott said he had been fishing off of, might have voted guilty.
I think MG's career just hit a rough spot, don't you? Someone mentioned his representation was questionable and might be reason for an appeal.
Oh hergus I really feel for you. My daughter had Crohns at 15 and she was 87 pounds before they did surgery. She got completely better but after a baby and five years, she got it back and had to have a second surgery. Since then she's had another baby and has been well for years. In fact she could lose a bit of weight now. She is taking something to prevent a recurrence tho. Not sure what it is. Are you taking anything to prevent a recurrence? It's a terrible disease, so painful. I hope you get better soon. She has lost 20 cm of her small bowel or ileum. That's where you absorb all your nutrients from. The only left over effect she had was some thinning of her hair from lack of nutrients.
his talk to Amber about "Laci's baby" was disgusting..The call to Amber just before Laci's vigil nailed his coffin shut in my mind..The ten minute timeline for Laci to be abducted and the bodies washing up in the bay were so powerful..He is such a cold blooded paycho..I have never had more contempt for a murderer..He killed his own child and his wife and seemed downright giddy about it!
So many traits in common with Mark Hacking. (Lori was pregnant, too.) He pled not guilty at his hearing--the trial should prove interesting. What struck me most about it, though, was how much like Peterson he was. (shudder)
That's why that Justin Fat F**k was kicked off the Jury. He's a mental midget!! (excuse my language)
Oh no, your daughter too? I hope her medicine will keep her in remission. So much Crohn's, who knew?
Nope. Been glued to the tube at home.
Think I'll drive by the Covena residence to see if the locals are leaving rememberances. Have camera - will travel.
THE JURY FOUND SCOTT PETERSON GUILTY OF MURDER IN THE FIRST DEGREE ON LACI'S DEATH AND 2ND DEGREE IN CONNERS DEATH.
I quickly skimmed through the thread and didn't see anything posted except runningbear said verdict at 4:00 p.m.
It must have come before 4:00 p.m. if my daughter heard it.
Now I have to read and see what you all said.:-)
