Source: Peterson jury foreman wanted to be taken off panel
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (Court TV) The foreman dismissed from the jury deliberating murder charges against Scott Peterson Wednesday asked to be removed from the panel, a source close to the case told Court TV anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle Newsom.
"This juror wanted off the case," Guilfoyle Newsom reported Thursday.
The panelist, identified as Gregory Jackson, 46, quit the jury after his fellow jurors said they wanted another panelist to lead them, the source told Guilfoyle Newsom.
"He was removed as the foreperson and then decided he wanted off the case," Guilfoyle Newsom said.
Story continues ......
The courthouse was closed Thursday because of the Veteran's Day holiday and jurors remained in sequestration at their hotel. The panel is not permitted to discuss the case except in the jury room........

What a crybaby! I can't be foreman anymore so I'm taking my marbles and going home! What an egotistical moron.

"Wonder where those notes went?"My guess is they were left with the court until the verdict comes in.
If I recall correctly all the notes etc. that you take even during deliberations have to be left in the jury room when you leave at night.

I read somewhere that he would not let them take a prelimanary vote to see where they were at.
Being a lawyer my guess is he was trying to retry the WHOLE case back in the jury room.

I would think the dismissed jury member was probably like an intollerant drill sergeant . I guess he expected everyone else to be just like him and try the case again before they could voice their opinion. I would think the first thing the Jury should do is take a poll vote to see where everybody stands.

you'd think a poll vote once sequestered to see where do they need to go over the details to get a 12-0 vote? Only the jurors know at this time....til it is over with!

Just a block away from the courthouse, a memorial for Laci Peterson continued to grow. "Things started getting a little crazy. Phones started ringing off the hook from Australia, England, Georgia, Louisiana," said Ron Dodgen, who delivered flowers to the location. Dozens of flowers were moved and arranged to read "not guilty."
Is this a typo? I thought all the signs were accusatory.

All that seems reasonable, I guess that's where their problem was...somebody being unreasonable . I never heard the Prosecution add the fact that Laci's death would have been an AD&D meaning the life insurance would have doubled to half a mil....that and a careful study of the financial jam he was in, with hospital and Conners expenses added to all that speaks volumes. You think Laci would be hawking her GM's jewelry if she knew Snott just plunked down $1400 for a boat ?

SP was about to lose his Tradecorp gravy train, too. According to Tradecorp emails to SP, he was doing one tenth of the projected break even gross earnings. They were pressuring him for results. He responded that even lower earnings were expected at the end of 2002.

I think some rat went there in the middle of the night and moved the arrangements. I read somewhere yesterday that the 'not' was removed. Then it started raining, then they were all thrown into a dumpster.
But the people spoke, a message was sent, and little tension was bled off. :-)
Go Jackie and the folks at CTV and WS!!!!

S4J, I never heard that about the insurance. Waht is AD&D?
How convenient for Scott, he sure did seem to juggle accounts and cash sources pretty regularly.

How could he entertain Amber and others ? So this lying phony is on his way down the tubes and as a last resort to maintain respectability and get all this sympathy he concocted this scheme to bail himself out. It probably had very little to do with Laci and Conner, b/c it was always ALL ABOUT SCOTT.

S4J, I never heard that about the insurance. Waht is AD&D? Accidental Death and Dismemberment which is a part of most insurance policys as it provides for an "accidental" death, and pays DOUBLE.
