Nov. 10, 2004 -- Leora Dowling and her husband thought returning from deep in "red" America to her native New England would make them feel more comfortable, more like the people around them shared their values. Since the election, she's been contemplating another move. To Italy.
"After the election, my husband and I asked ourselves, 'How could our country be heading backward? How could so many people miss or choose to ignore the obvious failures of the Bush administration?'" the former Florida resident said.

These people need to go to Cuba and live there.
Just have the scank turn in her passport on the way out. When she sees what the reality of living in Italy is like, she'll want to come running back.
For one thing, I doubt this woman speaks Italian. That might be a problem for her. Also, when she finds out what a bureaucratic nightmare it is to get anything done in Italy, she'll long for the "efficiency" of her local DMV.
Who knows, maybe she'll like Italian healthcare better--but I doubt it.
Tell her to GET OUT...now.
The pity card. It's been almost dizzying to watch the press shift from a tone of attack to one of reproach. Never mind the inconsistency.
What a stinkin' joke they are.
Then leave a-holes .... we sure as hell don't want or need you here. Get The F out

I don't know if this is the Kelly Ann Thomas website mentioned in the article but it fits the profile. If she leaves she will be sourly missed....NOT!!!
>>Give New England back to patriots..instead of you commies. Scram!
Yeah! We Swamp Yankees may rise up and kick these interlopers out of New England and back to whatever liberal hole they crawled over from. How places like Vermont became such bastions of liberalism, I'll never understand. Rural yankees are pretty conservative. Must be a bunch of city folk.
Of course, I'm not living there anymore, so I guess I have no right to say anything. Maybe I'll move back though ...
So was mine. It's an old joke.
I've figured this out. All of these liberal exiles abroad will help boost the tourism industry around the world, while their rantings about the right-wing takeover of America will keep foreigners who don't like us at bay. But clearly, foreigners can't wait to invest their money here in new manufacturing jobs. BTW, what are these people going to do for a living over there?
Punch line to old joke.
A red state freshman asked the Havard prof
"Where is the library at?"
"At Haw-vud University, we don't end our sentences with a preposition." Answered the prof.
"Well, let me rephrase the question." said the red stater.
"Where is the library at, a$$hole?"
From a native Floridian, this is music to my ears.
I wish all the New Yorkers, Pennsylvanians and New Jersey natives would return to their HOME STATES. Then we wouldn't have to put up with all the liberal crap they spew about "well up north we did it this way..."
You see everything up in the Northeast is so much better and more enlightened than "down here".
My advice... go to a show, payoff the squeegie men, pay high taxes, have your kids indoctrinated by the gay/union/socialist/communist/environmental/whiny teachers and then... shut your cake holes.
Please leave, go to New Zealand and hump sheep, go to Canada drink beer and hump moose or go to Europe and grow your armpit hair, just leave..now.
Hey. Cuba is just a few miles from Florida.
What I want to say to people like this is, "Get a life! Learn to be an opposition party or get out of politics." I think I have reached my tolerance level on whiner stories....
Ignoring for the moment, the question of how this qualifies as news, one wonders how ABC came across the story.
I am so tired of hearing these whiners.
When Bill Clinton won, twice, you didn't hear all the Republicans say they were leaving. I say good riddance. It will make it easier to extend our lead in the Senate, House and win again in '04.
This is the mentality that we are dealing with folks. If I don't get my way I will take my ball and go. It is the mentality of a 5 year old. If my five year old acted like that he would get a 10 minute timeout and I would give his ball to the rest of the kids to play with while he is in the timeout... Wait a minute... That is what we did to them. THey ARE in a timeout and their behavior will determine how long they will be in that timeout.
My guess is they have not gotten the message and they will be in the timeout a LONG time.
BYE
Dito, but Italy. They are a little too religous there. Why not France or better yet, Cuba?
