I wish the left would quit acting like they really study the words of Jesus. They somehow have this weird notion that Jesus was an altruist, pacifist, and weakling kind of guy.

This guy has confused Jesus' kind treatment of prostitutes, beggars, etc as condoning their behavior.

And they think Jesus really liked sin.

In complete agreement. They pick and choose Bible verses that fit their sense of spirituality and religion.

"Jesus says you shouldn't judge me, lest you be judged!"

"God is a loving God that smiles on ALL loving relationships, even its homosexual or completely dysfunctional!"

God gave us absolute truths. We don't get to pick and choose what truths we want to obey. It really torks me when libs try to manipulate scriptures for their own man-made special religion.

A notion conjured up from thin air. They're hung totally up on his lamb persona, ignoring the FACT that he's returning as a lion.

Jesus was a strong and bold teacher against sin and falsehood. Anyone who thinks Jesus was a weak condoner of sin has not read the Bible. But there is defintinely altruism and service in His message.

Mat 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: Mat 25:35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Mat 25:36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Mat 25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed [thee]? or thirsty, and gave [thee] drink? Mat 25:38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took [thee] in? or naked, and clothed [thee]? Mat 25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? Mat 25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me. Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Mat 25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: Mat 25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Mat 25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Mat 25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did [it] not to one of the least of these, ye did [it] not to me. Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Gal 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all [men], especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Jesus and His apostles certainly were not "virtue of selfishness" teachers. The problem with many on the left is that they try to take these admonitions for personal benevolence into a sanction for forced altruism enforced by the power of the government.

well, here's one of them... (i received this email today from a Christian in our small group--after a discussion we had about most of us being thrilled that Bush was re-elected... obviously, this person is not glad... here is his email:

As I type this message a child is born in Iraq, Should we kill it know or wait 15 to 18 years till he becomes a terrorist. We can keep killing for years and not even put a dent in terrorism. And know the future terrorist can't even say "the American never did any thing to us". We have, we killed their fathers, brother etc. Most of the terrorist are not even fighting by choice. I can not support this not only as a christen but as a human. I can not find in the bible where is say's it's ok to kill sometimes. As far as freeing Iraq, When did the USA become the freedom police. As soon as we leave Iraq it will just go back to the way it was. The cost, a lot of young Americans and a lot of tax dollars . Mean while anyone can still get across our boarders.

They think Jesus is a moral relativist like they are.
