Reminds me of the demons in the movie from Dusk till Dawn.

The article states it is afraid the drug will become epedimic....it already has long ago.

We just had our Summit in our community and the community is working hard to drive it out of here. It became a cooker haven just in the last few years. The cooks come here because no prison time, probation then they cook some more. Well the community has had enough and they are aware of tell tell signs of labs and we are closing them down. Of course the houses used are unlivable due to the hazardous chemical residue.

I think I saw her picture our local Meth Summit group is using it to promote ending the problem here.

My sister runs a alternative sentencing program for drug abusers in S. MS. She had one girl who had previously been in her program end up in the hospital with a temp of almost 105 and her hand almost gangrenous from a bad batch of meth, but the girl still told my sister that she didn't know if she could give it up.

I tell my kids all about the folks who are hooked on this crap to try to warn them never to even give it a try because it is ferociously addictive! I'm going to keep that photo as a object lesson for them!

Meth is rampant here in the South. I have a cousin who is hooked on it and crack. She won't keep a job and parties all night.

Does anyone EVER truly break the crack addiction? I don't know anyone who has been on it that has successfully gotten off it. I know some who stayed clean for several years only to start using again.

Had another distant relative who was shot to death a few weeks ago. He was in a home which had a meth lab and someone (a customer I'm guessing) came to the house intending to kill one of the dealers there. He wrestled the gun away, not knowing the man had another pistol, which he whipped out and shot this young man in the head. His friends at the home, who he was trying to defend, all scattered like rats and left him there to die.

I had another childhood friend (haven't seen in years) who has been hooked on meth and crack for years. Her mother died a few years ago and left her a fortune, which she quickly went through with the help of a string of sorry a-- individuals. She is now homeless and called me recently out of the blue, wanting to come live with me. I told her I couldn't help her. She would rob me blind.
