Thats a beautiful site.

Yes it is No Blue States. Something that too many Americans have taken for granted, abused and misused for far too long.

Hopefully when it is all said and done the Iraqis will appreciate and cherish it.

Thanks.

I would think a terrorist photo album could come in quite handy. No telling what else they will find in Fallujah.

After looking at TCP again it seems to imply the Zarqari aide killed story came from the Washington Post.
But you have to be registered to view it, maybe someone else is registered and can dig further and get verification.

If Iraq can become free and safe it will be an economical powerhouse in the mid east, freedom could be enjoyed by so many enslaved. Leading the way for their neighbors.

As an America Im very proud of what we did to help Afghanistan, even if our initial motive was to route AQ and the taliban.

Very good map of Fallujah, but too large to post the image, so here is the link. The Fight for Fallujah. Chronicle graphic by Todd Trumbull

TexKat, I always enjoy your posts but I have to ask please no more pictures of the fatally wounded US troops. Some of us have family there.

I bet it looks like a fire ant bed when you kick the top off of it.

"An earlier report from Agence France-Presse said insurgents had captured the city center of Ramadi.

``There is no word of insurgents taking over in Ramadi,''

Gilbert said. He said the attack on U.S. troops there involved gunfire, homemade bombs and rocket-propelled grenades. The city is part of the so-called Sunni Triangle, a stronghold of support for the regime of deposed dictator Saddam Hussein, which has bedeviled efforts by the interim government to bring Iraq under control.

Great map, ive been looking for one like that.

I didnt realize the importance of the train station capture. The trains can be used to bring supplies in.

All your trains are belong to us now.

"I didnt realize the importance of the train station capture. The trains can be used to bring supplies in."

I thought the train station was out of service before we went in and used only as a terrorists meeting site?

Your right Gucho, its just a good base for us with a birds eye view.

"By Tuesday morning, U.S. forces were busy transforming the train station into a new forward base, laying cables, building privies and rapidly turning the shattered concrete buildings into communications shacks and command centers.

Marines standing watch near the tracks appraised the station's tactical value.

"This train station, with its high ground, is a good foothold. We can see out over the whole city," said Middleton.
