Not all of us in the Blue States are Blue

Posted on 11/08/2004 2:52:36 PM PST by California Red

I'm a first time poster here from one of the most liberal communities in California. I wanted to thank you all for perhaps unknowingly keeping at least this conservative from insanity over the last year or so and to remind you that even in the blue counties in the blue states, at least 25% of us are celebrating the re-ascention of Bush to the White House.

I've been the target of so much hate in my own community that I turned to reading your supportive site in lieu of my own local forum. I know these radical liberals that are now degrading those who live between the coasts and believe me, they are NOT what they profess to be. They are the most intolerant, bigoted, self-centered and self-righteous people in America. I know, because I live with them.

Welcome, California Red. I am from a "blue" state too, but from a red county.

Glad to have you aboard.

I live in the Red Zone of California (Sacramento Valley). I pity anyone living in the Bay Area.

Welcome to FreeRepublic.

Well come back often to load your guns, but never back down from a fight. Have you facts at hand and use them often. Smack them hard when the launch off on one of their tirades.
Teach them they can't spout nonsense without expecting to be called on it.

I've found that after a while they tend to keep their mouth shut and stop spreading the poision.

Join me, a Wisconsin Red in saying, hey wait just a doggone minute, whenever people round here start agreeing to let the leftist blues take our land with them as they try to flee Bush country. LOL

Color me red too. It's tough here in California, but I'm encouraged because it's only the Coast that is so liberal. Thank God for FreeRepublic. It has saved my sanity on occasions too numerous to count.

I can sympathize, being from Massachusetts. But at least up here, the Liberals aren't so rabid. Maybe the DNC has been keeping up on their shots.

Oh, and if you ever want to move down South, c'mon. We'd love to have you. :)

Yes - as in my county, Palm Beach. Bluer than blue, unfortunately. But, hey, at least I can be happy that other parts of Florida went red for Bush!!

I'm guessing you and I live near each other as I also live in an ultra-liberal California community. It's a university town and the county election results were approx. 70% Kerry, 30% Bush. I feel like I live in a foreign country. I'm glad there are more conservatives in California than the MSM wants to acknowledge.

live in a suburb outside of L.A. employed in the studios. Just go to work, never discuss politics, and do my job. What I vote for is my own private matter, until the climate changes here.

I am convinced California will change. It is a growing nationwide trend. Liberalism is dying.
