I’m a lifelong Republican and nearing retirement age. I campaigned for Barry Goldwater in 1964 as a sophomore in high school. I debated with my Civics/Government teacher as a high school senior about Ronald Reagan being a good Governor for California.

I’ve been put down many times for speaking positively about Republican (read American) values. I now find myself emboldened by Sarah Palin and decided it’s time to speak out again.
