Mark Belling, afternoon talk show host on AM1130 is not on the air today.
Several times, the station has announced that because of a single "racially insensetive" comment that he made, he's not on the radio today.
What Mark said, about a week ago was the word "wet-back" when he was discussing some sort of immigration issue. I did not hear the original comment, but rather, heard his "interview" with a Newspaper journalist.
He apologized directly about making the comment, ernestly and honestly he said he was sorry.
Today, I tune in...NO MARK...have you guys in CHEEZELAND heard anymore about this? There is nothing on his website at www.belling.com
Any info appreciated, sounds like someone's being pilloried because of PC.

With all the true racist comments that go on shows like Michael McGee's show, Bellings comment was mild, not a good idea, but not the bomb shell it has been made out to be.
This whole thing is not about WHAT he said, it is about WHO said it.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is part of a general attempt by the Left to silence talk radio.
I'm not into conspiracy theories, but talk radio is continuing to kill them and I wouldn't put it past them now seeing how they keep losing elections, losing ground with every one. (since 1994)
What do you all think?
Who do you e-mail to complain???
Perhaps the tire-slashers are in the spotlight, but it is a much smaller spotlight. In the Saturday issue of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the tire-slashing incident involving the offspring of newly elected Congress women Gwen Moore and former acting Mayor Marvin Pratt (both African American liberals) merited an approximately 400 word article; the furor over Belling merited 750 words and a large color photo of the protestors. Milwaukee media again elevates the importance of bad (non-PC words) over criminal actions.
