Thats an understatement. He's also rich. Even though he is still HIV positive (ne never developed full blown AIDS yet), he no longer even tests positive for HIV on most tests.

Too many people loosely throw the term "friend" around. Friends hang out together, do lunch/dinner, activities on a regular basis. I would assume Reagan and Hudson were "friendly" by way of their respective profession as many people are which means they were associated with each other in a respectable manner.

I too do not understand this pre-occupation with his ill health. He is very old, very sick, and most likely dying. I don't really care WHAT he dies of, he's lived far too long as it is, he's done nothing good in his entire life.

If Arafat dies of old age we will have to endure protest and riot from the Arab world as they would like to bury him in Jeruselum. If on the other hand the Arab world finds out that he died of AIDS they will dump his body off at the nearest landfill.

Unlike his wife, I don't think he has been "cured", but from what I read about it and him, he's managed to limit the virus to such a small strain or amount that its hard to pick up or find in most tests.

He does still have HIV, but its limited.

From what President Reagans late daughter (I belive her name was Maureen) said, President Reagan and Hudson did associate with each other socially at times and considered each other friends.

Only a few people close to Hudson knew that he was really gay, though there were rumors. Reagan did know and there's a story she told about how he explained being gay to her, in which he used Rock Hudson as an example, well before the media found out or anyone knew.

From the story, it doesn't appear Reagan said anything harsh or bad or judgemental.

Let's put it this way. Assume the account is true, that Arafat is in fact dying of AIDs... what is likelihood that is the OFFICIAL cause of death? I mean, how many chances in a million that they will actually be honest? 1, 2 ?
