To the Editor:

I write to say something I feel deeply. I am a woman from Texas and a devout Christian. I am someone who prayed after 9/11 and sent money to help.

I voted for George W. Bush. I will do all in my power to respect the Democratic positions and reach out for unity as a country, as a neighbor. I want the United States to be united! Let's reach out to one another as Americans, regardless of party affiliation.

Lets call Tuesday what it was. A major victory. The only reaching across the isle should be by the dems. There is little room for compromise when basic values come from too such diametrically opposed view points. There are still some moderate democrats who will work with the President to move his agenda along. They want the same things for America, they have just been taking the wrong approach while being led astray by the likes of Bill Clinton.

As for the rest of the radical leftists that permeate the Democratic party...let them stamp their feet all day....there time will be over soon enough.

You are charitable. We need to remember at all times, these people are NOT "the loyal oppositon."

They are simply the opposition. They will gladly see more skyscrapers fall if it will embarrass the Bush administration.

The crude enmity toward an innocent person reaching out for reconciliation is transparent here at DU, but it is not different from the treasonous obstructionism of Pelosi, Kennedy, and Co.

We have to constantly stay on our people in Congress and elsewhere, to never forget:

the lies and corruption of the DNC/Kerry campaign;

the violence and the vandalism.

These people are the ones who almost breached security of the Presidential motorcade in Portland two years ago, forcing the Secret Service to the point of drawing their side arms;

These people are not Americans, despite the accident of their birth: they are European socialist sabateurs, and trusting them would be a fatal miscalculation.

If that is the "Party of Tloerance" at work, give me what they refer to as the "Party of Hate" any day. Obviously they have reversed the meanings of words.
