Does anyone here think Jeb Bush would win?
Jeb Bush and one of the Ohio senators as VP would be unbeatable. Democrats can't win if they lose both Florida and Ohio. If Jeb Bush/DeWine win Florida and Ohio and the other red states that Bush won by 7+ points they would have enough electoral votes to get elected.

I see a governor as presidential candidate with someone like Condi as vice president, for the same reason that Cheney was VP....to give the Governor credibility on international issues.

McCain is my Senator (sorry). He's pro life. It's just that he is politically malleable on ANY ISSUE, including abortion. If there is a way to get the MSM to say good things about you and druel over you every breath, McCain finds it. He's pro life, but has backed down on pro life fights and hurt the cause in the past.

I didn't say that they would compose a 'conservative' ticket. What I said is that they would be a winning ticket in contrast to Hillary and whomever she picks.
I am a conservative by nature but a pragmatist by experience.
It took this nation over 70 years to enter the socialist quagmire we are floundering in today. Do you honestly thirst for a fresh, clean savior to put your little feet on dry ground today?

A Jeffersonian conservative, United States Senator George Allen has established clear priorities, including a $1,000 per child educational opportunity tax credit; increasing the number of teachers in local schools; strengthening our nations armed services; and reducing the tax burden on working Americans, their families and on enterprises. Senator Allen serves as Deputy Whip for the 107th Congress, working with the Majority Party leadership to formulate policy, develop strategy and generate support for the Partys legislative priorities in the Senate. He is a member of the prestigious and influential Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, the Foreign Relations Committee, and the Small Business Committee. Senator Allen was also named by Majority Leader Trent Lott to serve as Chairman of the High Tech Task Force. Prior to his Senate service, George Allen led the Commonwealth of Virginia as its 67th Governor from 1994 to 1998, where he achieved monumental reforms in state government. He instituted high academic standards and accountability in education, abolished parole in Virginia, over-hauled the outdated juvenile justice system, enacted positive work-oriented welfare reform, and actively recruited new jobs and a record $14 billion of private sector investment. His economic development success resulted in transforming Virginia into the "Silicon Dominion" as an unprecedented number of high technology firms began to locate and expand in Virginia. Senator Allen began his public service in 1993 as a member of Virginias House of Delegates, representing the seat once held by Thomas Jefferson, his ideological and philosophical inspiration. He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in a 1991 special election. After his term as Governor ended, Senator Allen exercised his economic development skills in the private sector as head of McGuire Woods Business Expansion and Relocation Team in Richmond. He was named by the American Legislative Exchange Council as their first Jeffersonian scholar in 1998, and has previously served as a Distinguished Fellow for the Heritage Foundation and a Distinguished Fellow for the National Center for Policy Analysis. Because he is a champion of improved education standards, Senator Allen was named Co-Chairman of the statewide "Communities in Schools" program after his term as Governor. The program helps young people improve academically and prepare them for a successful future. Senator Allen and his wife, the former Susan Brown, reside in Chesterfield County with their three children: Tyler, 12; Forrest, 9 and Brooke, 2.

(4 Senate seats, 3 (i think) House Seats, and 52% of the popular vote: AMERICA HAS SPOKEN)
To: Catphish
I think it would be an interesting ticket, but with severe limitations. McCain is not a conservative and has the Savings & Loans baggage (amongst others) but will draw moderate/liberal Republicans (whatever they may be) and conservative to moderate demoCrats. Condi will draw women and minorities but has never been elected as a candidate. The real Republican base may hold their nose and vote for McCain, but the Republican President candidate needs to be a conservative.
I suggest the Presidential candidate needs to be a conservative to get the base to vote and draw the new voters. Ronald Reagan was a conservative. His more liberal Vice President, Bush, only won once. President G. W. Bush, as a conservative, has now won twice. Conservatives will always vote if they have the opportunity and the candidate. Some of us will even walk across broken glass - or drag our wounded bodies across broken glass to vote for a conservative.

While I think Jeb does have a good chance because he is one of the more well known Republicans, something tells me he wouldn't make it in 2008. Maybe 2012.

Mitt Romney is a GOP up-and-comer. Keep an eye on him. He's a presidential candidate from Massachusetts that can actually win. And he's no RINO.

"Powell is a social liberal. I don't want him."
We ALL know this. The problem is how to advance a stealth agenda without alienating too large a segment of the populace and losing the whole enchilada.
Tell me, friend, under whose administration did your tagline ("Roe v. Wade and Endangered Species Act both passed in 1973) become reality?
If you're holding out for Jesus, you better lay up a passel of victuals.
