This whole "I think I'll go to Canada" crap is just a pathetic device of a hack writer...

First, we don't care. Go if you want, no one is stopping you.

Second, it implies that Canada is somehow more civilized and free than the US. I go there, quite often, and trust me, it's not.

Third, we know you're not going to leave anyway, so why mention it other than as a desperate plea for attention. Instead of saying you're going to Canada, why not just start with "I think I'll slit my wrists", since the odds of you doing either one are the same as John Edwards being "The Next Vice-President of the United States".

Fourth, name me a single Conservative that threatened to move to Canada if Kerry won. Anyone? That's the difference between Liberals and Conservatives.

Morons like this writer are only Americans when it is convenient and comfortable for them to be so. Conservatives believe in the power of America, in its people, in its institutions, in its constitution, in its history, in its power and its righteousness. We don't give that up because we didn't get our way. A change in political winds that we disagree with is a chance to exercise our participation in the process, and fight for what we believe. For Liberals, it's a time to run.
