DES MOINES, Iowa - President Bush (news - web sites) won Iowa on Friday, claiming the last three states of the 2004 presidential election.

Although Democratic Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites) had already conceded the race for the White House on Wednesday, the counting of absentee ballots continued in Iowa, which had been too close to call.

By Friday, Bush had 745,980 votes and Kerry had 732,764 with the number of outstanding ballots too few to change the outcome.

Long after the polls closed on Tuesday, Bush won Ohio, which gave him the 270 electoral votes necessary for a second term, and New Mexico.

With Iowa decided, Bush had 286 electoral votes and Kerry 252.

In 2000, Democrat Al Gore (news - web sites) won Iowa and New Mexico, which went for Bush this year. The only Democratic switch was New Hampshire, which went for Bush in 2000.

Iowa will not certify the results until Nov. 29.

Kerry began campaigning in Iowa nearly three years ago. His surprising win in the Jan. 19 caucuses over a slate of eight other candidates gave him the momentum to claim the Democratic nomination.

Yup. New Mexico. Should be fun to make him vote against the nomination of Miguel Estrada. That should go over well in the state with the highest Hispanic population.

You might want to revise your map.
Aside from SF & LA, the vast majority of CA is GOP.
In fact the GOP controls 37 of the 58 counties in the state.
With over 5.7 million registered Republicans;
that my friend, are more registered Republicans than any other state in the union!!!

The best assets we have for us are the lying socialist/fascist who work for and control FNC/ABCNNBCBS & the MSM.

They are imploding each hour of each day around the country.

As my Granddad used to say, "When an enemy wants to hang him himself, you do two things: 1. Give him all the rope he needs. 2. Stand back not get hurt and enjoy the performance.

I'm not willing to concede Wisconsin, especially knowing that there was 115% turnout in some places. The same day registrations need to be validated before there's a final tally.

The fraud in WI was rampant.

Eliminate the massive voter fraud in Philadelphia and Bush carries PA and get more than 300 electoral college votes.

"Tom Daschle is deeply sadde-- Oh, wait... Who cares."

The win by the President no doubt was a wonderful win.

However, it brought me extra special pleasure to see that communist Daschle get defeated.

In his concession speech he tried to be very humble and sheepish. Hypocritcal scum.

Finally, Iowa was disappointing early on Tuesday, when early returns showed Kerry up, was real happy when Bush came back and Barone on Fox, pretty much called it for Bush. Must say I am disappointed in not getting MN, MI, WI, or PA. Didn't really expect MI, and I knew PA would be a long shot because of Philly. But I had heard from many internet folks from MN, who thought Bush would get MN, most sorry about WI, Bush had a strong lead in the polls earlier this year, I thought WI was more likely to switch than Iowa a few weeks ago. I guess too many bought Kerry's line that " Bush had a secret plan for milk producers". Still would love to see military and other ballots come in and switch it, but 286 is still a win.

I am so proud of my fellow Iowans. In addition, I loved taking my dog for a walk this morning on the west side of Des Moines and seeing all the Kerry signs in the trash as it is garbage pickup day in my neighborhood.

I will not rest until My State of Oregon goes red. Unfortunately I think I'll be up for a long long time.
