PARIS George Bush's European IOU list is relatively short. Vladimir Putin stands right up close to the top - a Russian expressing "joy" at America's presidential choice has to find his reward. Silvio Berlusconi, subject of so much condescension among Europeans, has held the line in Italy while under heavy fire about Iraq, and gets some kind of serious favor down the line. . But it is Tony Blair who is owed the moon. He has taken Iraqi heat of an intensity in London that Bush never really felt from Americansp>

Polosi is all over the TV threatening to continue with the obstructions. She has stated that she will assure that her colleagues in the Senate won't pass a super-majority. That's almost laughable because there will be at least 7 Democrats in the Senate who realizes there party is going nowhere being obstructionist. The world will soon realize this also.

"...there will be at least 7 Democrats in the Senate who realizes there party is going nowhere being obstructionist."

Let's hope so, but the dems are much in thrall to their "leadership" which, however, no longer includes Tom Daschle. It seems the dems are splitting on two possible strategies: Obstruct, obstruct, obstruct [Pelosi], or "walk and talk like a Christian." This is going to be amusing.

The Dems are also finally realizing they can neither write off the South as ignorant rednecks nor fool us with a plastic goose hunt. They need our votes. Hah! Good luck.

"Vladimir Putin stands right up close to the top - a Russian expressing "joy" at America's presidential choice has to find his reward"

Especially when aforesaid Russian is suspected to have sent Special Forces to evacuate possible WMDs from Iraq. Oh yes, let's reward good ol'chum Putin...
