This place can be unbelievable. I heard someone on the radio (Giron or some other muckity-muck) saying that it was difficult to get the results in from all over because NM is soooooo big.

Well, let's see...Texas? No problem. California? No problem. Alaska? No problem. Wyoming? No problem.

I guess what was really meant was "it takes time and effort to generate enough Democrat votes fraudulently without creating too much suspicion."

It appears Richardson is doing his best to steal NM by dragging out the count.

But there were at least 19,500 uncounted paper ballots— so-called provisional and in-lieu-of ballots— statewide, according to a survey Thursday of most of New Mexico's 33 county clerks by The Associated Press.

19,500 uncounted paper ballots????? Richardson has had a couple of days to forge enough ballots for Kerry to win NM ... but that sounds like over-kill.

Dinky little state and it takes them forever to count a few votes? Hell, they better start now for the next election. Pitiful.

Looks like my first impression was right, Dave.

The fix is on.

Richardson cannot afford to lose the political capital it would cost him by losing this state for Kerry, even if it doesn't effect the final outcome.

W I I W N M ?

As they say in New Mexico Magazine...
"One of our 50 is missing"

It will be a National embarassment for Richardson
when they paint that state fire engine red.

:o)

Those provisional ballots would have to go over 71% for Kerry. If they did -- it would be prima facea evidence of voter fraud.

President Bush leading by 8,366 votes. But there were at least 19,500 uncounted paper ballots—

Yep that's about the figure they figure they'd need - once they knew what "W"s lead was , to try to skew the results - but I wonder if Richardson will dare carry thru this time - as he did last time in "finding" a box of ballots with JUST ENOUGH to switch over to Gore...

A couple of pics from this mornings Journal. Does the first one look familar (Florida 2000?):

Tanya Herrera, a Bernalillo County election worker, studies a voting machine tape in Albuquerque while being trained to work in the county's general election canvass.

Preparing for the count, election worker Tom Garrity loads a dolly with boxes of provisional ballots and voter rosters Thursday at the Bernalillo County Voting Machine Warehouse in Albuquerque.
(Wonder how easy it would be for a Rat worker to slip some extra packets of provisional votes into the pile?)
