Billybob did not run for congress. He didn't even run in a primary. He did collect money from FR.

I ran for congress. I won the primary. I had an amazing turnout in the general and got more votes than Bush in my district. I did not collect a dime from FR.

Correction. I did not "collect money from FR." FR does not donate money. I also did not raise money ON FR. Per Jim Robinson's criteria, I avoided any direct money appeals on FR. I am honored that some members of FR did both donate and volunteer time and skills to my effort.

I followed my own advice, per earlier post. When the filing deadline approached and I did not have the horses for a legitimate run, I pulled in my horns and reset my target for 2006. That was a tough decision. My heart said, go for it. My brain said, don't be stupid. My advisers agreed with the latter assessment.
