Also, average people dont get threads on fr with gushing goodwill for their problem- so there is some misplaced sympathy.
Having said all sure we want her well and do not want to do the du thing.

I think the connection may be through the manipulation of hormones, similiar to the link found in HRT/ birth control.

I agree. I will be praying for the Edwards family. We may all disagree on the issues, but that is part of our great Republic. I am confident that the great adavnces we have made in medicine will help Mrs. Edwards beat this. Today must be an extremely difficult day for the Edwards family, and they deserve our prayers.
Many freepers do feel that they have profited from the destruction of medical system that they are now relying on.
But it doesn't mean that we have to be vindictive like DU.
My thoughts exactly. As a mother with young children, I wish her the best and am praying for a sucessful treatment and recovery. Those children need their mother.
The FReepers on this thread seem to be showing real compassion and not peppering their comments with little stabs. There will always be a handful of jerks though, whose compassion ends with people on 'their' side.

I certainly wish her the best. My thoughts are also with the radiologist who read her prior mammogram.
She can start with suing all doctors, hospitals and pharm companies that were involved with pregnancy.
ANd junk science wont stop them, it didn't with bogus no C section/down syndrome.
btw, about 33% of C section in NYC are defensive because of these people.
Maybe someone should go to a pediatric oncology ward and tell them that FReeper Capt.YankeeMike says, "God don't like ugly".
May God grant her family peace and strength in the upcoming fight.
Let's hope and pray the doctors found the cancer early on. All of our prayers to John, Elizabeth and their great kids. Keep healthy out there!!!
I think you're right, and I think it's admirable that they didn't use that for political advantage.
I too hope Mrs. Edwards recovers from this. What an awful day for her and John Edwards.... truthfully what an awful TWO days. I wouldn't wish this on anybody.
