Maybe not so much a mixed metaphor. Have you seen the light glare/reflect off the polyester that covers her ample rump?

Edwards just figured he could get a bigger settlement that way.
(Force of habit.)

Actually, a couple of times a year is all he has to attend to either job...and he's getting paid by the federal government to do to the citizens of Massachusetts that Mrs. Heinz is paying him to do to her.

What's wrong with analyzing all the numbers till noon today?
'Real men' can read the tea leaves and recognize that "they ain't gonna win this election" without resorting to Algore-class vote manufacturing only on a GRANDER scale (read that as converting 130,000 contestable and potentially impure 'provisional' votes with such names as Daffy Duck and Mickey Mouse into 100% Kerry votes) ...

That's right John Edwards, you now have lots of free time to spend with your old lady. Enjoy Doesn't he have a "Tour of Duty" in the Senate to finish.
(John, it's in that big white building with a dome on the hill)

who is this guy "Edwards" you are talking about? Political version of Survivor - Vanatu's Julie.
(Well except for, after 7 weeks of being the pretty overlooked thing in the background, we now know Julie actually has a game and a personality)

"blinding glare of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton " LOL!
She'll be hosting a low-rated media CNN talk show after Rudy kicks her out of the Senate in 2006.
While Edwards will be pulling in millions chasing ambulances.
Seems to me he's got the happier prospects.

I don't know where you can find the video, but he did look like he was going to cry again today before and during sKerry's speach.

Kerry still has some political viability. He will be the presumptive nominee in 2008, and much bloviation on FR to the contrary, will easily dispatch Hillary! in Iowa and New Hampshire. That's a sKerry thought. Swiftboat Vets better not throw that less-than-honorable file away.

While Edwards will be pulling in millions chasing ambulances. Edwards made most of his money finding mothers of Cerebral Palsy babies. Nevermind that the OB/GYN has nothing to do with preventing or getting that terrible condition.
I assume he will go back to his old job until all OB/GYNs are run out of North Carolina.

Yeah, Edwards has nothing left but to write some hokey book with a title like "What I Learned During My Vast Political Career" -- and the talk-show circuit. About a year ago, Edwards spent some major bread on a Georgetown (D.C.) mansion. This was shortly before he decided to run for President and to leave the Senate.
Presumably, he foresees a career as a high-priced lobbyist -- probably for the trial lawyers.

Here's a thought: What if John Edwards replaces Chris Matthews or one of the other liberal pundits?
He'd probably drive the makeup people nuts, though!
To: danneskjold
Amazing. Wonkette's been doing this for almost a year and that's the first worthwhile post I've ever seen her make.
I've said it elsewhere, Edwards looked like he wanted a fight on Tuesday night and on Monday night he looked bitter that it didn't happen.
