Jihadists Welcome Imminent Death of Arafat

Members of jihadist message boards expressed little sorrow in responding to reports on Yasser Arafat’s declining medical condition and even premature reports of his death. Although a few voices in the discussion showed respect for this “revolutionary leader who dedicated his life to the Palestinian cause,” the majority welcomed his imminent death, either because they resented his corruption and grouped him together with other autocrats in the region, or because he “provided so many services to his beloved Israeli pigs.”
