Richard Miniter was on Fox and Friends this morning and stated an interesting observation.
He said that the robes Osama was wearing were typical of clerics from a certain area of Iran. They suspect this indicates that Osama is demonstrating that those clerics are aligned with Osama.
Richard Miniter didn't have much to add to the nuke fatwa/nukes across the Mexican border issue.
He did say that Bill Gertz was the journalist with the most up to date information on the nuke topic.
I guess it would be logical to suppose that he might actually be in Iran, or at least, that he was there at some point. If we admit that possibility, though, I guess we'd have to do something about it.
His friends in the intel community are saying that the garb UBL was wearing on the video is particular to the local dress in Mashad in NE Iran (near Afghan border). It was a signal that they are working hand in glove.

I posted that question awhile back asking what cleric
robes for Iran looked like.
Several ME-related forums had indicated he was now
attempting to and/or was considering himself an Islamic
cleric and 1 pointed to an Iranian muslim cleric.
Shortly after, I saw that UBL "the Mahdi" debate going
on on several boards.
