I tell you Velveeta, I sent Brit Hume an e-mail once; asking that Fox not use that alert tone so much.

I compared it to working at a police department.
If a nervous dispatcher kept hitting that alert tone before broadcasting;
pretty soon people would consider the alert tone as routine traffic.

It lessens the credibility of "Breaking News" if the alert tone is used every 2 minutes. (Which it has been today)
