The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The report also came amid concerns that President George Bush will take a tougher stance with North Korea during his second term.

I hope they do take a tougher, or at least much firmer, stance with N.K. IMO we have coddled them for too long. Whether it's Kim Jong il or whoever follows him they are a dangerous situation almost to the boiling point. It seems that the N.K. people have been so isolated and brainwashed that there is not really any hope of civility once their "leader" is gone.

"Arrests Made In Connection With Anhydrous Ammonia Theft"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "They arrested 29-year-old Brian D. Hill and 44-year-old James L. Kachelmier, both of St. Maries, on charges of Attempted Manufacture of Methamphetamine and Conspiracy to Manufacture Methamphetamine. They also arrested a 17-year-old male who was with them.


Hill and Kachelmier were taken to the Whitman County Jail.They were scheduled to appear in court late Tuesday afternoon. The juvenile was taken to Martin Hall Detention Center in Medical Lake.


The Whitman County Sheriff's Office says patrols have been increased in the county where anhydrous ammonia is stored and citizens are being encouraged to call 911 if they see suspicious activity."

I wonder if Abu-Ans al-Maghribi is this guy (Aliases: Bashir Al-Maghribi, Abu Ilyas). The name given in the article is awfully close to the alias Abu-Ilyas al-Maghribi

Lobotomy? The creepy thing about this is that we are expecting high level assassinations to be connected with al qaeda. The timing is disturbing in pointing to possible collusion between al qaeda and certain powers in NK government.

LOL, I wish. However, there is a general expectation of high level assissinations. However, it is AQ MO to make them big and claim credit. Not done w/ Arafat. Plenty of others in the region who'd like to bump Kim off including the Chinese and his own internal people.

I do not believe that any of them have been found. I also think it was posted earlier today/tonight that another tanker truck was stolen from New Jersey today.

There was at least one more crop duster missing for over a year now. God only knows how many tankers have disappeared since 9/11. I do recall back in the early TM threads some gasoline stolen near the Mexican border too.
