Looks like they're talking about a tape in the hands of Al Jazeera and al arabiya with 10 female American soldiers who have been captured, but they're saying the networks refuse to air the tapes for fear of American reprisal.

Unidentified submarine chased out of Japanese waters

TOKYO (AP) — Japan’s navy forces went on alert early Wednesday after a foreign submarine was briefly spotted in its territorial waters, the government’s top spokesman said.

The sub, of unknown origin, left Japanese waters shortly after it was spotted, Chief Cabinet Secretary Hiroyuki Hosoda said.

“Right now the submarine has exited Japanese territory,” Hosoda added, saying that they were still monitoring its movements.

IIRC (and if I wasn't so darn lazy I'd find the article and re-read it) he somehow reached that conclusion because terrorists can come into the country at their ease. But elsewhere he said that we are safer now because it's harder for them to enter...??

Apparently he thinks there isn't any more real threat as long as they don't come in the country from now on. Then why is he spending so much time and effort studying up on them?

And what about the ones being converted as we speak? He did say that most of the ones he studied were converted as adults, often in foreign countries.
