The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

Based off the original message, I think it is fl7 as in FL7 not f17 (seventeen).

that could be floor 7. I had originally thought it was fl7, and found a Continental airlines flight 7 from San Antonio to Houston arriving at 9:30 AM. (still pursuing my Texas theory)

Okay, gang, I just copied those numbers to Word and put them in a more revealing font. It is Eff-one-seven, according to that method.

If this was copied and pasted directly from the site, then the "f17" is acting line F 1(numerical)7. I copied the line and put it into the word processor then changed the font to a font which distinguishes between a numerical 1 and an alphabetical l.

If you take F17 (like the aircraft) then it kind of makes sense with the line below it. Any thoughts?
