Yup, Senator Edwards speaks. SoreLoserman II begins tonight, but I'm not waiting!
Congratulations President Bush!!
It's all over but the crying for the SoreLosermen!!
And now it's time for us to start planning the Free Republic George W. Bush Inaugural Ball II!
I've had Kristinn checking venues and prices and we're in the process of getting a proposal from the Wyndham City Center Hotel in Washington, DC (the other Wyndham that we used last time is already booked).
The costs have more than doubled from our first ball, so we're estimating the price per person will have to be in the neighborhood of $175 per person. We'll also have to move fast on this. We'll need to make a quick decision as soon after the elections results are official as we possibly can and then we'll need to quickly raise the funds to put up the required deposit.
So, here's the question: Are you ready for an Inaugural Ball?
If so, please post here if you plan to attend and how many will be in your party.
Thank you all very much and hope to see you in DC on January 20th!!
By the way, everyone told us last time that the Free Republic Ball was the best one in town and it was half the price or less than all the others. I suspect that this Ball will also be the best in town and at $175 will still be priced less than any other!
Maybe he can co-sign a loan for you some day (on a mansion :-)
We'll start selling tickets as soon as the contract is done with the hotel.
Have you decided on a theme for this years Ball???
Dang.
Mrs. CD & I are tentatively planning on going, and you are one of the people I was hoping to meet.
Maybe some other time...
Brandon
Hey, CD. Maybe we can caravan a bunch of NC pajamahedeen.
Sounds like a wonderful idea!
I wanted to organize an election night party, but as you know I had other things going on.
We've got a while yet, though. Let's see if we get any NC interest.
We are currently dickering about the travel arrangements.
If you all have some ideas, please share them here, and we'll make a list of all the possibilities.
Not sure, yet. We have alot to celebrate, and to be thankful for.
ROFL. If I make CPAC this year, same thing. What happens there stays. :)
Not sure if I can make either event this year. I'll see what I can do. I'll find out in December.
Jim:
I never told you how many tickets I'd like. I'll take three.
Theme ideas?
I definitely would LOVE to go. Give my eye teeth to be there. WHAT a party!!! My daughter's wedding will be taking place around then. Fiance has just within the past hour returned from Afghanistan. I'm in a wait and see mode... Thank you for pinging me on this, Constitution Day.!
Hmm. Mama Bear, Just Amy and Marissa, and I had already decided to get together on that day, but I guess it's okay if you other folks want to come along too.
I'll need one ticket so far.
A pyjama party?!
Silly question here...what is CPAC??
