Yup, Senator Edwards speaks. SoreLoserman II begins tonight, but I'm not waiting!
Congratulations President Bush!!
It's all over but the crying for the SoreLosermen!!
And now it's time for us to start planning the Free Republic George W. Bush Inaugural Ball II!
I've had Kristinn checking venues and prices and we're in the process of getting a proposal from the Wyndham City Center Hotel in Washington, DC (the other Wyndham that we used last time is already booked).
The costs have more than doubled from our first ball, so we're estimating the price per person will have to be in the neighborhood of $175 per person. We'll also have to move fast on this. We'll need to make a quick decision as soon after the elections results are official as we possibly can and then we'll need to quickly raise the funds to put up the required deposit.
So, here's the question: Are you ready for an Inaugural Ball?
If so, please post here if you plan to attend and how many will be in your party.
Thank you all very much and hope to see you in DC on January 20th!!
By the way, everyone told us last time that the Free Republic Ball was the best one in town and it was half the price or less than all the others. I suspect that this Ball will also be the best in town and at $175 will still be priced less than any other!
Here it is Dolly -

Let me know if it shows.
Count us for two!!!
I went to the last one with my brother. We will go to this one too! Only this time, I'm not wearing a suit.
Good by me!
speaking of rooms, do people get together to share?
What are we gonna call it this time?!? How about something straightforward, like The Free Republic Inaugural Ball... and invite Dennis Miller to do some stand up; some live music; and a few talk radio people like Laura Ingraham (yada yada) and Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity. Hmmm. wonder if the entertainment would want to be paid?
Absolutely amazing. Will be a pleasure to meet you.
Dittos. me too, I'll cover for one of those guys if need be.
Nothing at all this time... but a hat. : )
Count me in for two.
I'll be there, if I can find a group to share hotel bills. Where are you KatyKelly
Thanks, jungle-Goat and Paulsy!
Jim Robinson was also talking about having a separate event for the Swifties, but we'll see. I think everything is up in the air right now.
The parade is free but very congested and you can only walk a few blocks without being blocked off. Very tight security.
Plan your route ahead considering your transportation.
What say ye?
I went to the first with 5 other friends from massachusetts.. at least 4 of us plan on attending again this time too.. it was a blast.. this time will be even sweeter
Most likely, yes! :D
I expect to be there -- please count me in. :)
I'd bet there will be tequilla.
I wish we could come and bring our daughter and her band for entertainment, but I think that would be wayyyy too expensive. Sigh.
Add two more to your list.
