Prayer thread for election (vanity, sorry)
self

Posted on 11/02/2004 4:07:04 PM PST by calvin sun

Sorry if one exists already. I don't know about you, but right now I literally cannot breathe. My heart is racing and my stomach is stapled shut. We REALLLY need to pray, because even though we don't know the future, God does. So, here goes....

Heavenly Father, we know You are sovereign. We put this election into your hands. Take away the anxiety we all feel, and may You be glorified. We trust that whatever happens will be the best for us. We repent of our sins and pray that would turn and hear us.

In Jesus name amen.

You and me both. I've been a nervous wreck ever since Drudge released those first exit polls. I can't keep the feeling away that Bush will somehow lose.

Almighty and most merciful Father, we humbly beseech Thee, of Thy great goodness, to restrain these immoderate rains with which we have had to contend. Grant us fair weather for Battle. Graciously hearken to us as soldiers who call upon Thee that, armed with Thy power, we may advance from victory to victory, and crush the oppression and wickedness of our enemies and establish Thy justice among men and nations.

Dear God,
Show mercy on this nation. Give us leaders who fear and follow you. Give us leaders that will help turn our nation's face back to You. Give us leaders to be an example to the world.

Have mercy on us Lord. We are anxious and worried. Calm our fears, sooth our hearts, and remind us that You oh God are in control.

In Christ's name,
Amen

Get a grip. This board is unembarassed to be pro-Christian and pro-Israel. If that bugs you, perhaps you should find another place to hang out.
