"The war was based on two lies," said Hawking. "The first was we were in danger of weapons of mass destruction and the second was that Iraq was somehow to blame for Sept. 11.Wrong, it was based on U.N. Resolution #1441.

Garbage in, garbage out ... doesnt compute...
There was neve any serious allegation about Saddam and 9/11, nor was that listed in the Iraq war resolution ...
what WAS mentioned was that Saddam was for 20 years a state sponsor of terrorism.
Since this is the WAR ON TERRORISM and not the WAR ON THE 9/11 PERPS, this fact is somewhat relevant.

Someone needs to take the batteries out of Hawking's voice synthesizer.

Hey, he's in a wheelchair and is easy to check, his wheelchair computer does not speak in Arabic and he has a skinny neck.

an anti-war demonstration in London's Trafalgar Square Does this qualify as ironic?
To: anniegetyourgun
The physicist spoke at an anti-war demonstration in London's Trafalgar Square timed to coincide with the U.S. election.Doesn't Hawking require an "interpreter", i.e. a human companion, to interpret his utterings into English?
