Where is the 250 number coming from? Is this correct?

I don't know; I'm so disgusted I can't think.

They're going to be in the streets.

Bush lead at 100K even with 92% in...how many more votes are probably left in Ohio at this point?

LOL. Hey missy. One of them told me he was going to Europe rather than Canada. He'll fit right in with the other Eurotrash.

Topeka works for me.

Bush is leading in Ohio by 102,000 votes. If this margins holds than Kerry will have no choice but try and be a gentleman and spare this country. Bush has won both the EV and popular vote.

Uh no. Florida was separated by less than 500 votes.

At 92% counted, Bush had a 50,000 vote lead in Florida in 2000. By the time they got to 99%, it was down to 1,000.

"provisional ballots" - the result of "Help America Vote" law. Gee thanks, that ranks right up there with the McCain-Feingold 527 Act.

Go to Ohio's Election Site. I'm not seeing that many ballots issued. Their site says only 36K.

Unfortunately, Pete Coors just conceded, so it doesn't really matter.

"Yes, you heard that right: they're talking about hanging chads."

I thought when they were talking about Ohio being the Florida of 2004 that it was a metaphor (simile? I can never remember which is which with a bottle of celebration wine in me), I didn't think we were supposed to take them literally! Good thing we're not going to need OH to win!

Amen to that ...

And looks like NV(5 ev) is still in play for Bush (leading)
as well as IA (7 ev) and WI (10 ev)

Dee Dee says Bush needs "more than 270" before Kerry will concede. Now Hilary Rosen is a pundit? Isn't she the former RIAA chick? Now she's an election expert?

It came from Carl Cameron (I believe) from the dems. So, first, this 250k is bogus. Secondly, whatever # of provisional ballots are out there, what % are valid. By the time that is all weeded out, Kerry would have to take 100% of them to win.

"I wonder how many of those are overseas that have not arrived yet?"

Very good point--they should give GW a good margin!
