That IS funny ... (so long as you're not talking about the etouffe =)
I don't think I've ever heard it pronounced correctly as bartender for NOLA or Peristyle. Not at all surprising, though, when you think about how New Orleanians pronounce most of the streetnames around here.

Most non-Californians automatically think California is liberal. It's actually the big cities that are mostly liberal... there are lots of conservatives in my home state, believe it or not!
I don't know about that. I lived in California for 26 years -- in San Bernardino, Sacramento, and San Diego. Orange County South is relatively conservative. And you have pockets of almost reactionary conservatism up and down I-5 and Hwy 99. But Your overwhelming influence comes from the Bay Area and the LA area. And then you have a lot of universities (Like Chico, and Davis, and Sac State) that corrupt the gene pool of areas that would be conservative.
Yeah, there are "a lot" of conservatives, because there are over 35 million people in California. But they are scattered all over the Golden State

I cast my vote to Fox New Channel for having the worst election coverage, hands down. Fox has joined the MSM and now they're the worst of the lot.

Ann Coulter on ABC radio - "i'd rather be in the position Bush is in, then Kerry". But she acknowledges it is not over. saying Ohio, if it stays with Bush, that gay marriage is the turning point because of the amendment.
To: Jet Jaguar
Even Kristol says Ohio will probably go for GW.
